we finish our first round (7 - 1) :D

hope you will consider our percentage win rate as you promissed (regarding drop out team - we beat them as well in one game that we finished) when you give us bonus points for the next round.

cheers Andrew

I'll verify the results, and if it is as reported then you will get 0.875 for each unplayed game vs drop outs. Well done.
So, just so I understand. You will look into games played vs the drop-out team to see about bonus points for the next round but not if one team is .1 pts behind another for the last spot to advance but beat the drop out team twice while the other lost it's only game they played against them.

Just so you understand. There is no speculation involved. There's no "what ifs" involved. Even assuming team 1 beat team 6 in their second game (best case scenario for them), had it been played, they would have finished behind us in the standings.

Detlef I think you missunderstand :?

What I said is that Karlo & I have 7 victories & 1 lost game.
I just mentioned that we take + 1 vitory against drop-out team, but this will not take in calculation. We have 87,5 % of wins (7-1) and thats why we will have 0,875 x 2 (instead of 0,6 x 2) for the drop-out team. Correct me if I am wrong 8)

No, I completely understand what you are saying. That is, since you batted .875 against the field, it is fair to assume that you would have done similarly against the drop out team, especially in light of the fact that you beat them in the only game you played them. As it stands, you are only getting .2 pts credit for the unplayed game which seems thin. I completely understand your logic.

That said, it is not unfeasible to think you could have lost that game and ended up with a total of 1 pt rather than the 1.2 you now have.

Now, consider our position. We did, in fact, play both games against that team and beat them twice. There is no need to factor in how we might have done. We have two wins in hand and have .8 pts less to show for it. Meanwhile, a team that appears in position to finish .1 pt ahead of us for the final spot played them once and lost. Had team 6 not dropped, the most they could have earned from them was 1 pt and yet they have 1.2 to show for it. As you can see, those "free" .2 pts they got sure came in handy.

If we were in a similar position against a team who only played them once and beat them, I wouldn't be saying boo. After all, it is entirely possible the team in question could also beat them twice had they been given the chance.

It should be noted, however, that I simply suggested that we be allowed to play team 1 in a do or die, not that we should be taken ahead of them. This suggestion was denied. Basically, my suggestion was that the penalty we "earned" and the "penalty" that team 6 earned on our behalf cancel each other out.

I am sorry, I have explained this several times to you. I am NOT taking or looking into the results against team 6 AT ALL. There is no "penalty" that team 6 earned for you, because there is no team 6.

Group 5 has 5 teams playing. The top 3 teams will go to the next round. The results BETWEEN those 5 teams will decide who will go to the next round. You have received a penalty for late joining the other team, which is currently playing. So if you will be tied with the other team for the last place, you will not play the tie-breakers.

You are correct, LEONE. Those calculations have nothing to do with team 6 results, those calculations are solemnly based on your performance versus 4 other teams.

DiM wrote:sorry but i have to quit this tourney. my partner has been informed and he'll replace me. sorry for any inconvenience.
if anybody cares why here's the explanation:

for the past month my dice have been horrible. i've lost a lot of games solely because i failed the last 8v1 attack to eliminate a player and stuff like that. heck i've even had flat rate games where i couln't even get a card attacking a stack of 3 troops 3-4 turns in a row. and at the same time most of my opponents seem to have perfect dice. just now i was attacked with 15 troops. i had 16 on 3 terits. the attacker killed everything i had and lost just 2. next turn i tried taking back my terits. lost 12 in a row and killed none.

and this has been going for quite a while now.

of course i'm a reasonable man and i know the dice are random and all that. i also know that sometimes you get bad streaks but it all evens out in the end. well my dice analyzer has been imbalanced since i installed it the first time (8 onths ago) i reseted it at 200000 rolls and i was bellow the ideal stats. i reseted it again when i got to 200000 as i was also under the ideal stats. now i have around 80k rolls and i'm 9% bellow the iedal stats on 3v1 and 12% under the ideal stats on 3v2.
i have uninstalled it. i have also decided to take a break from CC because of the dice. i'm tired wasting my tie planing a move only to lose 20 troops from the first attack.

btw did i mention my 153vs72 autoattack that stopped at 3v48?

anyway. goodbye CC games for a while. i'll stick to map making and browsing the forums.

Thanks for letting us know. I will confirm your replacement with Masli

ok, i doubt we won enough to qualify anyway but if we did - RT isnt renewing his premium and im not too keen on the whole cc thing at the moment anyway, so let whoever is below us go through if we qualified.
