Geez, sign-ups went crazy today. Here's my rundown:

Drew483 is tentatively partnered with Natewolfman. If I don't receive confirmation from Nate by the time this starts, they will be listed as reserves.

negoeien / AtreidesHouse and goggles paisano / vexx are the last two teams in.

Easy n Dirty / PaulG and inonzuk / Shai are listed as reserves, as well as Smokingdude420.

Jon06359 is freemium, so I can't accept him.

Thank you all. Look for games sometime this week.

Round 1: San Francisco

Welcome to the Amazing Race: USA. Teams of two from all parts of the globe will race through the sites and history of the United States of America in order to be crowned the champion. For the first leg of the race, competitors will explore the San Francisco Bay Area. The city of San Francisco is the 14th most populous city in the United States, but it is one of the most densely populated. The city has about 744,041 people, with the Bay area having approximately 7.2 million. The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, cable cars, and Chinatown all make San Francisco a popular attraction in the states. San Franciscoā€™s most famous event was the Gold Rush that started in 1848.

On Conquer Club, San Francisco is designed as a standard map. Most players who start with territories in the north go on to win, but anything can happen, especially with teams. But be wary of Alcatraz. It will provide a nice extra army for every bonus region held, but armies are stuck there. There really is no return from Alcatraz. At the end of this leg of the race, the lowest 3 teams by score will be eliminated.

-----------------------------

Games have been made and I'm working on getting PMs sent. The spreadsheet link in the top of the second post includes the group pairings. Good luck.

Wow, nearly all the games have started in just over 24 hours. Group 6 still has a few open spots as well as Group 4 (ironically since that's my group). I encourage everyone to post results in this thread, including the number of rounds a team was alive.

*Note: For a team to be alive, only 1 player needs to remain standing.

There is a link to an Excel Spreadsheet in the 2nd post (maybe 3rd, I can't remember). Click on it and it will take you to a downloadable page. At the end of the round, I'll be sure to include actual text here in the topic for easier view.

Also, I should get to an update on this tonight. Many games are finished.
