Count me in ,
Not the best player here, but I am sure I can give anyone a run for their points, when the dice co-operate. :D :D 8)

30 rounds counts as a loss for all? Even with no cards/flat rate. Are you crazy?

i said i'm considering. the exact number of rounds isn't determined yet and i'm not sure if i'll even put such a limit.

PS: gix and richardgarr are added.

DiM wrote:there are all kinds of speculations about ranks being proof of skill or on the contrary ranks being nothing close to skill.

i think the best way to settle this is with a battle.

i want to host such a battle and i'm thinking like this:
40 players. 10 for each of the following groups:

2800+
2300-2799
1700-2299
1000-1699
1-999

players will be divided in 10 groups of 4 players each.
all games will be 4 player standard on all maps.
all the other settings will be random:
seq/freestyle
no cards/flat rate/escalating
adjacent/chained/unlimited
fog/no fog

all participants must have premium. as batches of 10 games will be played at once.

i'm also thinking about adding a maximum rounds limit. if after 30 rounds a game is still not over then that game is considered a loss for everybody.

deadbeats will be removed and replaces with a reserve. each player will have 24 hours to join his game from the moment he receives his pm.

after all the games in the groups are finished we'll have 10 group winners. we count the group winners and see from what area of rank they come. what ever area has more group winners wins.
in case of a tie further games will be played but i doubt this will happen. i mean with all the settings and all the maps surely luck will have very little influence and thus skill should prevail.

could a mod move this to tournaments?

if blitz thinks recruits are possible at that high score level then i think you should run with it (even though i still think 10 above 2.5 is a huge ask never mind blitz's idea.
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

yes i agree 10 ppl over 2500 is already a bit too much. if i go blitz's way i'll probably never start cause there are just 30 people above 2800 points.

btw blitz wanna join?

good points guys, well if a lot over 2800 or 3000 will, then sure, however,
I play these with 3000 plus, 6, 7, 8 players in comic's games at times, in 3 currently, well, 1 just finished.
