That would only work in noobish games, since experienced players could easily find out you are bluffing.Itrade wrote:I consider it a legitimate strategy, especially if the information that you're supplying is false. You can use the fog to further your own cause while casting doubt on anything other information being supplied when people find out that you were lying. It adds another layer of strategy to the fog.

Completely legit and if I ever get to play a fog game (I'm freemium with no free slots and my games tend to go on a looong time) I would be very surprised if no information about positions was exchanged at all during the game.

fog
i dont really play fog, i only tried once and didnt like it that much, but i think the people you play with might get mad...depending on the person, of course. it probably does add some more interesting strategy to the game, but ive got my hands full even without lying to people and trying to coordinate stuff my way.[/b]

I've been burned and used this to my advantage before. Generally I take no reliance on what others are saying during fog games unless I can verify by what I can see.

I think it is.
It plays into the strategy, for one, you don't even have to trust the person (I've lied through my teeth a few times) damn, bell. gotta go.

i dont like it if someone says something like
"I just broke Scarecrows bonus kill him!!!!!!"
Fog of War should not be about giving away information whether it is truthful or otherwise. It should be about finding an opponents weakness and attacking through it blitzkreig style and hoping its not a trap!
