I've been looking through some of my very old ratings and games and I realised just how much I've changed as a person. Having been on CC for 8 years, I think it's really cool how it's sort of a record or a time capsule and you catch glimpses of your (very embarrassing) younger self through your interactions with other players. O:)

I think the worst part is that I joined the site when I was 10 (in 2009). My goodness I was absolutely clueless and immature and bratty and attention seeking LOL. I still have some ways to go but I cringe everytime I look at some of my old posts on the forum or my game chats.

Same goes for me! I joined in 2006, when I was 10 too. My English was terrible and I uhm, didn't enjoy people playing freestyle properly. I changed a ton over the years and picked some strategy up in the progress (as well as being somewhat proficient in English, lol).

Perspective: When I was 10, a computer that could do a small part of what your phone can do, would fill an entire city block. My first personal computer at age 24 had 54k on board memory and 2 - 128k, 5 1/4" floppy (yes really floppy) disk drives and cost me the better part of $2000 then. The first computer I actually got to operate/play on used a tape with holes punched to program it.

The idea of a site to play games on was not even a glimmer.

I am jealous.

We all change; some grow well, some grow less, and a few even regress. Where are you? What are you becoming, as you grow and change? And how will you be remembered, once you do leave?

As a teacher, I once heard it said: you will mostly remember two kinds of students: the really good ones and then the ones who were a pain (or PITA). For some, that distinction is rather clear.

- I started in 2011, I was an already grown 42 year old guy, But still a kid at heart ")

- CC has taught me much, It taught me to look at everything from all angles, To make decisions from those angles and be truthful even if it didn't benefit me. I've learned to be more strategic in RL, The way one would examine a turn on a map to decide what's best, and not make hasty decisions.

-Conquer Club is about war, In war you must be strategic and diplomatic in order to succeed, And a good attitude goes along way when building alliances/friends. Well,,,the same goes for real life, And the true friendships I've made here over the past 6 years will stay with me 4ever.

- I've said this before, That it's too bad more people (NR) and others, Don't understand the dynamics of CC, And how this is trully a society in itself where one can come to interact with all the personalities CC has to offer, Even CC villains are persona's that gives this place a real feel, Cuz let's face it, There is good/bad and ugly everywhere, Why would a global site be any different.

- CC has made my life and the way I live it better, The friends I've made here are real, And being in a clan has strengthened those real friendships to a point where I wouldn't want without.

MicroB, Com64, all worthy parts of my life. Remember the days when Atari tried to make computers as well as pin ball arcade machines.
I've filled two passports in the time I've been playing CC.
Lost my furniture once, would have lost my sanity if I had stuck around and listened to her drone on about politics at the bank(went through a stage of extreme self loathing where I cohabited with bankers and/or chartered accountants).
Bought my first house, sold my first house.
Started my first business.
Seen phones grow smaller and more powerful.
Stopped drinking
Stopped smoking
Stopped working as a bouncer and getting into frequent fights
Accepted that I can't belt up every bigot that deserves it, ain't no one got time for dat.
