The Clan Department is excited to bring you our latest development for the Clan World! Each Report contains a variety of insightful and informative pieces designed to keep you well informed of the goings on within the Clan World. We strive to provide easy access to up to date information, stats, rankings, interviews and much more!


In This Edition
This month we provide clans with an archive, and explain some of the tools that they can utilize towards organizing their forum area. We also hear from Lindax one of our newest Clan Directors in the third of six interrogations to get to know your Clan Directors, we announce the winner of the Claniversity House Logo & Signature Design Contest, discuss upcoming contests, and as always provide you with the newest F400 Clan Rankings! INCLUDING a major F400 contest for prizes!

Clan Archive Sub-forum
Early in March, a popular request from clans that was promised some time ago was fulfilled this month! Every active clan should have a new archive sub-forum that their clans moderator (or clan leader, in a few cases) can utilize to help organize clans forum areas. If your clan needs a moderator for their forum who can edit posts, thread titles, or now move the threads to the archive please contact IcePack who will make the appropriate arrangements with the Admins.

CONQUEROR'S CUP VI

This year’s Conqueror’s Cup includes some changes to the format, mainly to try and keep the duration of the event within one year. Round 1 is done. Round 2 is now underway:

CLAN LEAGUE VII

This edition of the Clan League also has some changes to the format. The most important one is the implementation of promotion/relegation between the two divisions. We have a Premier Division with 12 clans and a Second Division with 14 clans.

For the Premier Division the final round has started. The battle for first place seems to be between FALL, LHDD and TOFU, but nothing is decided yet! Check out some of the newest discussion here!

The Second Division still has 2 rounds to play after the current round 11, so anything can still happen here. At the moment TOP, ATN and PACK seem the main contenders for the title.

Below you’ll see the latest results from the first 9 rounds and the standings after round 8 and round 9, respectively.
*Not all round 7, 8 and 9 matches have been decided.

RANDOM LEAGUE VI

Random League started in September 2015 and is organized by uckuki. The Tournament includes 17 Clans competing until mid-April for 12 game mini-matches of random maps. Clans select home teams and settings.

Rounds 1-9 are completed, as well as the better part of rounds 10 and 11.
Round 14 just officially started.

Auto tournaments for Primitive Tribes now appear under the tournament tab.

3 Auto tournaments for Advanced Tribes and Clans were won by TNC, FALL and TOFU. Looks like LHDD will take the 4th tournament.

There is a new auto tournament open for sign-up: Home Map Poly. So far, only 4 out of 8 places have been filled.

INAUGURATION TOURNAMENT: TRIBES GO RANDOM!

This tournament consists of a combination of 1v1 and Poly auto tournaments and team games. The group phase is now complete, I will update the final results soon. Round 2, the first round of the elimination phase is ongoing. Only the team games still need to be created. No significant results yet.

F400 BONUS POINT SCAVENGER HUNT
The first event of its kind with actual F400 rating points on the line! You're clan can earn up to 250 POINTS bonus if they are the first clan to complete the puzzle!

Spread within CC6 games, there are ten hints at the final answer posted within the game chats by IcePack.
Find all ten hints and be the first to figure out the puzzle and you could win! The bonus ranking points would make it possible for almost any clan to compete and regain or surpass other clans in the rankings!

Claniversity Logo Design Contest Winner
We had three submissions for our most recent Logo and Signature Design Contest! We would like to congratulate rizky_biznezz on winning the contest! Clan Tournament Historical Records

Each issue the Clan Department plans to highlight a clan (based on current events, clan wars, or public demand) and a player by interviewing clan leaders and players! We will announce who is to be interviewed here, and you can post all your questions in this thread to be answered in the next issue! We will provide some information on the highlighted clans such as recent or historical achievements, as well as linking readers to their Clan Page so past history, recruitment, and member details will be easily accessible. You'll get the opportunity to ask the Clan's members or leadership any questions, and get to know the group as a whole on a deeper level while the Clans that are highlighted will enjoy some additional exposure and get a chance to introduce themselves to the Clan World in a new, unique way that is difficult to replicate in a recruitment thread.

Clan Mafia Cancelled
We appreciate all the great feedback in the thread, since we didn't get the interest we expected we have cancelled the event. Sorry to those who were looking forward to it! While I might be a little sad, I think some of the feedback we received will make for some interesting changes and hopefully later in the year we can try once again with some exciting "clan" features!

I didn't "announce it" (headline it) until today. A global announcement isn't in the cards after some people can't keep themselves from ruining other people's work by editing it

They debuted on F400 1 year @ 6th a month or two ago. But this is the first time they landed on 2 year rankings.

I can take a look tonight when I get home. My last month entries are:

My guess is just not enough performance vs the lower ranks.
Could have been some additional decay, I'd have to see the calcs @ home though

Newer completed wars factor more into the score than old wars. The weight number reflects how much activity / games, so decay is reflected / noticed in the weight but isn't directly factored in any ranking calc from weight score.

I know it doesn't make much sense worded that way I'm tired. But TLDR: decay isn't affected by weight score. But it is reflective of the decay

Also, when you get high enough you can lose points by winning by less than the expected margin. We regularly lose points that way and have for years. If we played a clan with a 800 score in a 50 game war we'd probably have to win 40-10 to stay even. Welcome to that world.

Yeah, it definitely is harder to stay up in the standings once you get "up there".

As TOP didn't join CC6, not likely we will see them anytime soon.
They still have a long way to go, so far their biggest win is TNC.

It's more likely we would see them first in CL8 if they participate after the promotion / relegation takes place.

I wouldn't presume you will hold number one until CL8 begins. I have no illusions that getting to the CC6 Finals will be easy for anyone. If you get to the finals against someone other than us, that should hold the number one ranking regardless of outcome. If its a repeat of last year's final, you'll have to win again to retain #1, I think.

Yeah I didn't mean to imply we would hold it that long. My point was we wouldn't meet anytime soon, and then CL8 would probably be the first time we met. Not that we would continue to hold it.

There are plenty of things that can happen to knock us out before then.

They completed 3 wars in 2015. March, June, and Sept. Each for 60 games (+/-)
March & June were wins, Sept a loss (to TOFU). Thats 183 weight total for the year. Add in decay to wars that are almost year old now, and they don't hold the weight.

If you remind me I'll check over the weekend to see exactly where they are at weight wise for F41.
