A New Age
I. the Bannermen - Houses of the Realm begin diplomacy
II. the Tavern - Houses of the Realm begin autonomous diplomacy / subterfuge
III. the Blessed
IV. the Dead vs the Living

V: The Final Age - Stores
Across the realms, nomads have become redundant as print and kingdom info have become more accessible. To bolster sales and with the promise of rich rewards, nomads have opened stored in all castles. Their wares are available at all times to any house with a lord present in a castle. They have also partnered with the traveling bards, who follow lords to later sing of their great deeds. Their partnership has led to a black market of sorts for available info on a lord's location, for a suitable price, of course.

The Storefront

The Atlas:
Random Quarter: 5 GP
Map of Quarter 1: 10 GP
Map of Quarter 2: 10 GP
Map of Quarter 3: 10 GP
Map of Quarter 4: 10 GP
Full Map: 30 GP

Bard Black Market:
5 GP for a specific house's exact location (per castle)
2 GP for one specific lordā€™s exact location (by name)
25 GP full house exposure (all castles cities WT perma + all lords location this turn only)
1-10 GP Fortune Teller - hold a seance (attempt communicate w the dead and get a clue on ghosts or other undead relics)
10 GP silver bolt (one time use only after battle won - permanently kill a undead favored / blessed lord (no ressurection)

1 GP for extra clan ticket to the raffle drawing See Here for Details

First of all, I was wrong about the nomads continuing to roam the map. They will only be available in castles where a lord/lady is present.

I will be adding to this as more questions come in.

Questions/answers about storefront

if a house does not have a castle - are they without this option?

Clans without castles, will not have an opportunity to buy themselves, but may be "gifted" with items from other Houses.

the silver bolt is helpful. thnx. can we stock up on them now, and use at a later time?

It says one time use, is that per battle or if we use it this time there's no more for future won battles?

It's one time use per bolt, but you may buy as many as you like.
Yes, you may stock up. They will be kept in your main castle, but if that gets taken over, you will lose them.

With a silver bolt after i win a battle i can eliminate any other undead lord ? can i choose which one ?

No, you can only eliminate the lord you have beaten in battle from ever being brought back to life. You must have the silver bolt "in stock" for you to use it.

Turn 48 lasted from 24-rd to 26-th. My game ended in evening of 25-th(CC time). You received update for turn 48 on 27-th for what happened on 48-th turn.
Deadline for the actions on 49-th was 26-th. You sent an ambush action for 49-th turn prior knowing how my game ended(there was no official update).
If crow is turn based game then for you I was in battle threw 48-th turn. So if you are sending your commands for 49-th turn during 48-th turn you send invalid ambush command(you dont know if the battle will be over or not).
For me I was only allowed to end my battle for turn 48, but for you, you were allowed to move and to know that my battle is over. Twice more then me.
Ambushing part is even more ridiculous. I knew the area(obviously since I was fighting there). I was not allowed to do more then finish my battle so my men had time to prepare for the next battle, yet you are the one that ambushed me instead of other way around. I guess crow only recognizes ambush from attack, although in the human history ambushes usually don't happen to fortified army but to moving one.

I'm impressed

rockfist wrote:I do not get to pick my away games all the time. Iā€™ll grant you I know what the settings are but Iā€™ve been thrown into maps I have little or no experience on many times.

I guess this is not crow related and you are misused somewhere else, so it does not count.

rockfist wrote:I enjoy CR@W, but I agree dragging out the games is annoying. I commend him on not doing that, although I donā€™t know that it was strategically smart. Iā€™ve had to be reigned in several times from wanting to summarily execute someone who I had to fight due to their clan attacking ours, when I wanted to fight someone else, but I listened eventually.

With current rules crow wont last long. Reason is simple, its unfair, inconsistent and easily misused.
There was no reason for me to drag our game, anyway I have no plans to participate in faulty event(dragging a game is participation also).

The game is over. You lost it. You can categorize it however you like, but if you look up the results, they'll show you lost. Your statement proves my point you never accept any responsibility for losing. With you its always the dice or the drop or something. This time you are blaming it on the mechanics of CR@W, although I note you whined about the dice in the game (which you have done almost every single time I've beaten you, I'm sure when you beat me its your superior strategy and intellect that carries the day).

The second quote in Red makes no sense because I rode up as your battle was finishing and attacked. You had no time to fortify.

Besides that in the overall sense, rock knew the battle was over because of pigeons I had sent him. I was stalling the battle for him and he let me know via carrier that he was close. Knowing he'd avenge me, I stopped stalling the battle out and surrendered. That's pretty much what happened, but then with PMs. House of Fire bought time for another lord to arrive, and then lost ASAP because we could start a new battle. If we had to I could stall our game longer, I had control over praetors to West. August.

Searching for finished tournament games, selecting games in which GoranZ lost:
Game 17801179
2017-10-29 14:54:58 - GoranZ: hmmm... I lost 10 so far you lost 0
2017-10-29 20:36:31 - GoranZ: well the dice was on your side in the game
2017-10-29 20:36:50 - GoranZ: 13 vs 15 ends 3 vs 9

Game 17752762
2017-10-08 21:44:16 - GoranZ: gg when 11 vs 11 end 2 vs 8 u know its close to over

Game 17751935
2017-10-07 13:38:04 - GoranZ: that was lucky

Game 17748011
2017-10-10 20:38:31 - GoranZ: when you have 56% for a kill and the enemy ends with 11 remaining you know that you needed double the amount you initially had
(and some more discussion about odds in another game, where the oppo failed 67%)

Game 17729732
2017-10-11 10:24:46 - GoranZ: how i can have normal dice in here and bad in foed games... jeez

Game 17729731
2017-09-24 23:47:28 - GoranZ: cmon :(
2017-10-11 10:31:37 - GoranZ: close... 9 vs 4 and i took 2
2017-10-11 11:08:34 - osman76: so this is the decider for the ticket for the semifinals
2017-10-11 11:20:14 - GoranZ: yes, and it seems u will have it
2017-10-12 00:04:03 - osman76: my rolls sucked badly... failing to take spain can be critical
2017-10-12 06:43:55 - GoranZ: similar :) gg

Game 17699865 - no complaints
Game 17699851 - no complaints
Game 17699712 - whole lot of rants by numerous players about the settings, which seems justified but I dont think FALL never sent luck-based settings, did they?
Game 17697701 - not sure if it qualifies but...
2017-09-30 11:57:34 - GoranZ: gg, how did you get more men then me :D

Game 17680633
2017-09-02 19:56:18 - GoranZ: gg horrible dice
though also:
2017-09-02 20:53:27 - GoranZ: technicaly I could have played this one better, so there is still room from my side :)

Going back to rock's point:
Goranz, the common theme with you is that itā€™s always someone or something elseā€™s fault when you lose

I didn't cherry-pick games, but in many games you lose you complain about luck. You got skill, that's for sure, but from my point of view you do credit the dice a bit too much.

Fair enough. I'll summarize it like this: he thinks I am a hypocrite and a complainer, I think he isn't as good as he thinks he is and a complainer, there is evidence to support both claims.

See, you get "TOFU thinks I am superior" from someone saying they would choose different settings. No one thinks you are superior. Go back and carefully read through the game logs of our games against each other analyzing them move by move and it will be obvious what I think of you, I won't speak for TOFU in this because its about me and you.

Well we are not too pleased either ....

We sat watching while 2 battles your progressing ... We sat with instructions as we entered their location with notes that we wanted to attack so soon as possible.

2 of our Lords setup for battle while preparing to jump the winners of their 2 battles.

So after sitting their surrounding them so they could not escape and watching their every move

Their games are now over and WE ARE THE ONES THAT GET AMBUSHED???? Seriously ... at what point do we let logic overrule a written rule ....

Even if they were lucky enough to get the initiative ... let them move 1st and try escape ... but in any scenario they cannot get to define the engagement ... even if they decide not to run but engage us ... they would have to engage us in OUR BATTLE Settings!

Ambushed is probably the wrong word. You aren't ambushed you are attacked, assaulted. The one attacking get an advantage, seems pretty logic to me as well.
I understand you were waiting to fight us, but rules were clear since the beginning. The one that attacks get to choose the field. We got initiative thus we moved first. We are attacking so we choose the settings.

An ambush is when you make a diagonal move and there is someone you didn't see before on the case you moved on.

You may ask for the rule to be modified, improved, but you shouldn't be surprised.

I would support the case where if two people were fighting and a third person was waiting to fight the winner that the person waiting gets to choose the settings. I also agree the rule is the rule for now. For whatever that is worth.

People keep using the word ambush incorrectly. Thereā€™s a difference between getting a direct attack vs ambush.

Putting a note ā€œthat you attack the next as soon as possibleā€, doesnā€™t change the rules. The next moment possible would be the next turn that they arenā€™t engaged in order of initiative. You donā€™t get to attack mid turn because you put it in a note. There is way to much information to track to do that sort of thing which is why the turn + initiative and phasing is built how it is.

Iā€™m sorry that in this case it hurts your plan, but Iā€™m sure youā€™ve also been the beneficiary of initiative rules at some point as well.

Okay, I am going to try to maintain the schedule this week for turn 56, but please know that Thursday is Thanksgiving in the US and I will be cooking a full meal here, so I may not be as quick to answer questions or reply to diplomacy requests and such. Hopefully there won't be much of a delay.

What time do you want us to show up? First dibs on the thigh. Is it okay if we bolt and execute lords in your living room, or best it be done in the bathroom? I understand there are cultural differences between USofEH and Canadia.

Four should be good. So long as I get the breast, you can have whatever catches your fancy. I'd prefer if the bolting and executing happen in the closet. There are many cultural differences. In America, we do not use silverware and prefer to just eat with our hands. We have competitions during dinner to see who can build the best masterpiece with their food. Also, pants are not recommended to be worn while at the table. What do you think "aboot" that?

Also, pants are not recommended to be worn while at the table. What do you think "aboot" that?

I stopped thinking at `Four`.
I am loading up the Rider now. Please send castle location and lower your moat, otherwise I will be wet at dinner.

Is it okay if we bolt and execute lords in your living room, or best it be done in the bathroom? I understand there are cultural differences between USofEH and Canadia.

Dang hop ... make stops along the way ... in the USofEH they have more potty break spots along the highways. Some even help you fill up again right after you empty yourself out!

Lucky for us all those Americans will be partying which gives the Canadia-ins more room in the stores for shopping.

Just remove your toga and you should be fine. But be forewarned, once inside, you may never want to leave.
