Many players log on to this site having limited time, taking the turns on the games that matter.

Players might declare the game as lost, expecting you to understand possible Deadbeating.
I have played many games where players feel they have lost and just up and deadbeat, no notice or anything.
Who cares, you will take the win.
Many players will encourage you to deadbeat rather than prolong the game.

My idea of intentional deadbeating is if somebody tells you they will deadbeat, misses two turns then comes back into the game trying to steal the win...anything else will be hard to prove.

Let this one go, CC should not force players to engage in a game with such a foul mouthed freak!
Maybe you should go cry to your mommy...mommy he wont play with me!

You really don't give a shit about this.

Turns taken; 96% vs 100%
Dick factor: 4.5 vs 4.9

Discussion about the case has already started in the above link.
Apparently, what has happened here is the following.
1. Game starts, foggy
2. Ronc makes his move and takes a region
3. Joriki asks for information lost because of the move, not visible in the map anymore, because of the fog and waits 23 hours
4. Ronc does not respond, maybe he saw the post, maybe he didnt
5. Joriki decides to foe and deadbeat the game, obviously considering ronc's decision unsportsman-like
6. Debate in other topic starts, Ronc eventualy makes an C&A report

Before anyone starts offering explanations, the above are the facts. Joriki is not dbing because he was losing and he is not dbing to help opponent win faster. He is dbing because he is angry that Ronc did not follow what Joriki considers to be the appropriate moral code in foggy games.
Arguments have been made in the other topic as well. An example

well, declaring what he has declared and now dead beating out of a poly game, his actions have been a bit "dick-ish"...-Jésus noir©

Not so, he has acted most Honorable.
He entered a game, decided he did not want to play without the house rule, left the game.

Would you rather he be a ''freak'' and ''moan about it the entire game?''

If you want to get technical, not once did he hit the start button.
He foed and moved on...that's the way it is done.

that is not the way it is done. the way it is done, is be a man, or a woman, which im assuming the latter is the case, and play the damn game. house rules? intentionally deadbeating doesnt sound like house rules. there are no such rules i have gathered that you must give someone ample time to look at a map. it is supermax prison. one of the most transparent boards of all due to middle of the map, and other areas...

it is completely a dickish move, and moves. those who say otherwise im gonna have to say are prolly dicks as well.

I guess that dbing in purpose for subjective moral reasons of this kind, will eventualy be considered a violation of the rules. I just want to mention though, that Joriki is a very polite and enjoyable member of the community, who I have the experience to play with many times, a fact that is also clearly represented by his very high rating score. I am not aware of him ever having created any kind of trouble. His reaction is indeed quite extreme in this case and I was surprised to watch it happen. CC should seriously consider his good image and behavor until now before offering a punishment.

show me a set rule that ronc has to provide a snap or allow for a snap to be taken before the game begins. show me the rule and i will agree with the accussed, 100%... until then, he is intentionally deadbeating a game. if he finds ronc's actions against the rules of cc, he should file a C&A like ronc has. there is no written rule, unwritten rule about this that "most" players follow. what ronc did is not against the rules, what JORIKI is doing, is. the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noir

Deadbeating is vague.

Many a player making dick-ish moves in this category.
joriki is not the dick...ronc is just being silly; why on earth would he care?
How hard would it have been for him to respond in a positive way (game chat).
joriki was not asking too much, why not play nice?

This entire episode is a dick-ish move...ronc is being a dick.
This is a positive deadbeat scenario.

Is joriki your boyfriend? You seem to be taking this very personally. I bet I could guess which of you is the butch and which is the bitch.

So forcing ronc to sit through 12 turns to deadbeat isn't a "Dick move"? I'm sorry, but I disagree 100%. Ronc may not have seen the chat. But to deadbeat because your opponent didn't follow a "Non-rule"? It's stupid.

Might get Noted, probably needs more evidence though. Not sure as it's been awhile since I've been here.

For all I'm concerned, playing first before letting your opponent see the map if you take one of their regions is an unfair advantage. ronc is a dick for not copying and pasting his first turn log in the chat.

I think this game should be deleted as it will unfairly drop Joriki's score.

This clearly is an isolated incident, joriki is CLEARED of intentional deadbeating.

Also, there is no rule that you must share your opening move or allow the opponent to see the map first.

And Im locking the thread because it is awful
