The argument for removing religion from Civ 5 was that it made diplomacy in Civ IV too predictable. I generally enjoyed the feature, but sometimes you would get a very unlucky draw. I've got Civ 5. It's pretty neat, but like all have said I remember Civ II being the best. To be honest, the city-states in Civ 5 kind of irk me. But I really enjoy learning the new hex pattern, and the better ranged combat.

I have always lived in the middle of the country. From Indiana to Colorado, and many states in between. Hence, I mock both coasts. There's something that the ocean does to people that makes them unpleasant.
