Re: Secret Diplomacy: Rules?
From the game chat Aliksander, and from here, it appears you see a sharp distinction between coordinating strategy and diplomacy. In the case that spawned this discussion, however, you have let us, the other players in the game, know that as part of your diplomatic proposal, you shared strategic ...

Re: Secret Diplomacy: Rules?
I don't see why the first situation you described should somehow make it ok for the second situation to happen.
But please know that first situation is also forbidden. It happened before. Ofc it may happen often and not being reported, but when two players play too many games together and it can ...

Re: Secret Diplomacy: Rules?
Also, in the game you're talking about Aliksander, from what I understand, you've proposed an alliance, with strategic suggestions on how you could work together, including specific attack points. There isn't even an alliance yet, but you are coordinating effort. Stating in the public chat that you ...

Re: Secret Diplomacy: Rules?
The others are right.
You should discuss everything in the game chat. Nothing can be discussed elsewhere.
The only thing you can do outside the game chat, is a wall message asking someone to read the chat of a game. That's all.
I do not know the justification for that.

Secret Diplomacy: Rules?
I have recently gotten into an argument/discussion with some people in a FFA game about what constitutes 'Secret Diplomacy'. My understanding is that Secret Diplomacy is when two players ally without the knowledge of the other players and then proceed to play as if on a team. Others in the game ...

Re: Conquer Rome (The Fall of the Roman Empire) [BETA]
I would like to say that this map is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I was just wondering though if there was the possiblity of 'expanding' the map, IOW making everything about 25% larger, just to make it easier to see, especially the color difference between mediolanum and italia.

Re: Imperium Romanum [Quenched]
I make 2 suggestions that can be implemented together or separately.
1) Connection between Sicily and Carthage.
2) Connection between Fleets- just connection between adjacent fleets would be sufficient. Ex. East and west Baltics conected, west baltics and eastern Med. connected, East med and ...

Re: Gay marriage
, hence why I say eliminate the state from the equation entirely so there is no allowances or benefits to anyone (ie no special treatment either way). This reduces marriage back to what it is supposed to be: a personal choice that is accepted or not on a personal level, where it belongs.

Re: Gay marriage
Many argue that Marriage is a religious institution. That is true, but it is also used by the state to provide for children, for inheritances and ownership. These things are by no means uniform from state to state. In some states, a man and a woman automatically co-own everything or just about ...

Re: Gay marriage
Here's a simple arguement/solution.
Marriage is a religious ceremony. Why does the government even have a hand in it anyway? The Government should not be involved in what constitutes a marriage, should not even bother themselves with marriage at all. It is a religious right, not a state organized ...

Family guy is funnier than Simpsons, except at the Simpson's height 12 ears ago when I was a kid. Futurama, however, gets my vote since it is funnier than Simpsons (about as funny as Family Guy), but WAY more cerebral than Family Guy, so I don't feel like a moron for liking it.
