2011-02-03 18:33:45 - thegreekdog: good game
2011-02-03 18:33:51 - thegreekdog: if you have a chance - i have a question:
2011-02-03 18:34:00 - thegreekdog: in these games, did i lose because of strategy or dice?
2011-02-03 18:34:18 - thegreekdog: for the most part (i'm assuming both have some effect), but what do you think affected the games more?
2011-02-03 18:36:05 - Culs De Sac: its a map where you start with 12 regions
2011-02-03 18:36:12 - Culs De Sac: so who ever goes first has an edge
2011-02-03 18:36:25 - Culs De Sac: the 2nd person is always playing catch up on territories and 1 less army
2011-02-03 18:36:36 - Culs De Sac: and not to mention i just lost all my rolls
2011-02-03 18:36:41 - Culs De Sac: even with 9 troops
2011-02-03 18:38:48 - thegreekdog: i am asking because it appears (at least to me) that i played this map identically to how you played the map
2011-02-03 18:39:08 - thegreekdog: and i am aware that whoever starts first has an advantage (which, i think is why i picked this map as my home game map)
2011-02-03 18:39:15 - thegreekdog: i was just curious as to why i was going to lose all three games (probably)
2011-02-03 18:39:17 - Culs De Sac: Check the games you went second in all of them.. i got 4 troops and you got 3.. add that over 5-7 rounds and im up on armies by 8 barring equal dice
2011-02-03 18:39:32 - Culs De Sac: i had decent drops
2011-02-03 18:39:34 - Culs De Sac: so i took bonus
2011-02-03 18:39:38 - Culs De Sac: and you were behind
2011-02-03 18:39:52 - thegreekdog: okay
2011-02-03 18:39:54 - thegreekdog: thanks
2011-02-03 18:39:54 - Culs De Sac: in 1v1 games you should try and pick maps were you still get the same troops regardless of who goes first
2011-02-03 18:40:01 - thegreekdog: i just wanted to make sure i wasn't doing something blatantly bad
2011-02-03 18:40:09 - thegreekdog: i appreciate your advice/help, etc.
2011-02-03 18:40:15 - Culs De Sac: i had great rolls to start
2011-02-03 18:40:17 - Culs De Sac: that didnt help
2011-02-03 18:46:19 - thegreekdog: sorry - was moderating
2011-02-03 18:47:34 - Culs De Sac: no worries
2011-02-03 18:50:57 - Culs De Sac: gg
