2009-12-31 16:25:28 - Foxglove: sure, maybe you can give me some ideas?
2009-12-31 16:25:43 - Foxglove: some friendly tips?
2009-12-31 16:28:09 - Chuuuuck: well you can always deploy on HQ US I and try to take out XX 17 and XX 75
2009-12-31 16:29:04 - Chuuuuck: with that move you can really reduce your front lines and start to clear red out of the Northwest
2009-12-31 16:29:12 - Chuuuuck: i am also a big fan of "being a good sport" and giving us the first turn by starting your turn and then running out of time without deploying
2009-12-31 16:30:35 - Foxglove: great, now I don't need a plan of my own, thanks :)
2009-12-31 16:31:01 - Foxglove: I'm sure my partner won't mind either! We'll just move this game right along.
2009-12-31 16:31:36 - Chuuuuck: sounds great, i can log in for lubawski and we can just finish this up now if you want?
2009-12-31 16:33:03 - Foxglove: Yeah, definitely - just keep waiting for a few...I'll take my turn any minute now!
2009-12-31 16:33:41 - Chuuuuck: lol, ok, i won't leave my keyboard!
2009-12-31 16:37:08 - Chuuuuck: btw, nice job on that chat box add on you created, i remember you saying you were going to get it done, its very nice
2009-12-31 16:39:00 - Foxglove: thanks chuuck :) yes, I'm very happy with it! I'm using it now :)
2010-01-02 03:52:32 - Chuuuuck: mkcummins for chuuuuck
2010-01-05 04:09:34 - Chuuuuck: you guys destroyed us from the first round in this one....
2010-01-05 04:09:40 - Chuuuuck: and gals
2010-01-05 06:06:11 - rabbiton: i think it was the little pep-talk you gave foxy, chuck.
2010-01-05 06:06:58 - rabbiton: but seriously, this map is not a good idea for doubles, you guys had little chance going second
2010-01-05 16:25:53 - Chuuuuck: agreed, i have been trying to play more doubles games lately and i have just been getting pissed off when i do because i keep playing maps and then saying "this map should never be played on doubles"
2010-01-09 14:27:35 - Lubawski: I don't think this is one of the shouldn't play dubs on. We just don't know the map well enough. This is my first game on it ever. But we have a few people who destroy on this map for dubs, so clearly it can work. I'll take the heat here (Chuck had a good
2010-01-09 14:27:52 - Lubawski: plan in the beginning...it just went to hell quickly.)
2010-01-10 15:43:20 - Chuuuuck: nah, i'd say it is worth doubles in the fog if you are plaing opponents who aren't great, but if it is 2 good teams, the team that goes first will usually win
2010-01-10 15:43:55 - Chuuuuck: if the team that goes first is good enough to logically figure out what bonuses the other team has and how to best disrupt those, the first round can be a 15 army difference
2010-01-10 16:14:10 - rabbiton: yeah that is fair enough. when it comes down to it there aren't that many maps that allow you to easily beat poor/untrained opponents yet stand a fighting chance against good opponents regardless of drop/dice/turn order.
2010-01-10 16:14:41 - rabbiton: suffice to say i breathed a sigh of relief when we got first turn
2010-01-11 14:20:57 - Chuuuuck: 2010-01-11 08:20:51 - Chuuuuck [team]: haha yep... blitz setup and wanted to play conquerman against me 2v2 a while back, i told him it seemed like a coin flip on who got first turn.
2010-01-11 14:21:33 - Chuuuuck: and he told me "nah, we have a 70% win rate," so i said ok, and we set up 2 games, i got first turn in both, and both games were over in like 4 rounds (we won both)
2010-01-11 15:51:56 - rabbiton: well i actually think coquerman is significantly better than this... it has minimal region bonuses and an adjusted terit bonus that helps
2010-01-11 15:52:48 - rabbiton: normally there might be only 1/2 deploy difference in the first round.... whereas here...
2010-01-11 17:14:23 - Foxglove: thanks guys, sorry you got the short end of the first-turn stick.
