Standard |
In a standard game each player fends for himself and there is only one winner. |
Automatic |
Regions are randomly distributed at the start of the game and each region starts with three troops. |
Sequential |
A player is selected at random to go first and then subsequent players follow in turn. During a team game the play order alternates between the teams. |
Escalating |
At the end of your turn if you have conquered at least one region you get 'spoils.' Once you have three of the same color (or three different) these can be traded in at the start of your turn for bonus troops. Escalating Spoils indicates that each set traded in will be worth more than the previous. The first set is worth 4 bonus troops. Then 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25 etc. If you own any of the regions that you trade in you get two bonus troops on those regions. |
Chained |
At the end of your turn you can reinforce once from one region to another (they must be connected by regions that you own). |
No |
Fog of War masks enemy positions that are not adjacent to your forces (or your team's forces). It also masks region and zone names in the log |
No |
You can only assault from regions held since the start of your turn. If you conquer a region during your turn you cannot assault from it until your next turn. |
None |

24 Hours |
Each player has up to 24 hours to complete a turn. You will get an email notification when it is your turn to play. |

2009-08-03 02:53:33 - i_am_cheri_too: well obviously, i'm completely out of my league...just trying to stay alive :)
2009-08-03 11:08:19 - Jackofalltrades: hope that doesn't offend joe but had in my eyes long run had to do it
2009-08-03 15:19:25 - Joe B.: Of course I'm not offended, just hurt. Hate to see you give up your stronghold and let green have added bonus.
2009-08-03 15:21:17 - Joe B.: But I was the board leader until then, so now you may want to choose wisely as to your next attack.
2009-08-03 15:23:11 - Joe B.: Some of the train lines are rewarding anyone and make a good target for a card. Maybe Astoria station is a place we all can use.
2009-08-03 15:23:26 - Joe B.: "aren't"
2009-08-03 15:29:35 - i_am_cheri_too: before either of you decide to take astoria station, would be nice to let me move my troops...
2009-08-03 15:32:55 - Joe B.: Just kidding about the "hurt" thing.
2009-08-03 15:33:52 - Joe B.: Hey Cheri, was just going to say you are playing like a pro. You manipulated Jack perfectly.
2009-08-03 15:35:27 - Joe B.: Did an army count. Cheri has about 1,500, I'm at 1,250 and Jack at 900 with the next cash coming, 1,115.
2009-08-03 16:41:13 - i_am_cheri_too: its been very hard to be patient...its not in my nature to be patient...would rather just kill and get it over with LOL
2009-08-04 15:00:48 - Joe B.: Me too. Usually there's a good time to strike in escalating and pick up cards and keep rolling. We passed that time quite a ways back.
2009-08-04 15:08:42 - Joe B.: Cheri, want to move those armies off Astoria station or does someone have a better idea ?
2009-08-04 15:09:20 - Joe B.: No one went for a card that turn and if we all sit that's okay with me.
2009-08-05 14:37:47 - Freestyle: man get it over with...lol.
2009-08-07 04:34:20 - Joe B.: Jack, looks like you just made it in time.
2009-08-07 04:34:52 - i_am_cheri_too: i'm on too...wanna play a couple of rounds rt?
2009-08-07 04:36:49 - Joe B.: Sure, Jack you might as well have spent a couple extra and broke the other bonus.
2009-08-07 04:47:12 - Joe B.: Amazingly bad dice.
2009-08-07 04:50:06 - i_am_cheri_too: maybe that's karma for trying to sic Jack on me :)
2009-08-07 05:04:04 - Joe B.: I wasn't really, his turn was already over. But he could have taken a couple more from you while he was there at hardly a cost to him and taken away another bonus from you for a turn or 2.
2009-08-07 05:04:44 - Joe B.: It would have just made good sense, nothing more or less.
2009-08-07 05:12:03 - Jackofalltrades: i'm sorry gents i can't do it its 0110 in mornina dn i have to be up early....need my sleep i'm a heating and air man....standing out in the sun during summer is draining but i'll ponder for a few and take thenext turn
2009-08-07 05:13:37 - Jackofalltrades: and sorry green at this poing i'm playing semi defensive and trying to minimize borders to maximize troop effectiveness....soemthing blue unfortunately is ina better strategic position for i believe on this map
2009-08-07 05:14:44 - Jackofalltrades: cute blue
2009-08-07 05:26:45 - Joe B.: What was cute ?
2009-08-07 05:30:35 - i_am_cheri_too: i just realized our game has been going on for almost 6 weeks... LOL...wouldn't have thought i'd last this long against ya'll
2009-08-07 05:32:32 - Joe B.: You're doing a wonderful job and are the board leader despite the better bonus I've been getting.
2009-08-07 05:38:15 - i_am_cheri_too: yours seems so much bigger...maybe its because your armies are so much more spread out than mine
2009-08-07 05:39:56 - Joe B.: I love it when you talk dirty to me.
2009-08-07 05:41:18 - Joe B.: I think it's because I'm doing a little more battling then you, especially in the earlier rounds.
2009-08-07 05:41:22 - i_am_cheri_too: lol
2009-08-07 05:41:59 - Joe B.: It's fairly close, but you're set up good and those train lines are helpful.
2009-08-07 05:43:15 - Joe B.: Guess Jack had to go to bed, it's the same time for me and I probably should hit the sack too. At least we tried to get a few rounds in.
2009-08-07 05:43:22 - i_am_cheri_too: ive not been in a tournament where one game lasted so long...what will happen in the very near future...cause i don't see this game being over any time soon
2009-08-07 05:43:40 - Joe B.: Glad I got a laugh out of you. Good night.
2009-08-07 05:44:20 - Joe B.: I think they said they would make a decision as far as game champ. You never know.
2009-08-07 05:45:02 - Joe B.: I thought I had the advantage, but if you have more armies, it may go your way.
2009-08-07 11:15:36 - Jackofalltrades: gotta say gents this has been quite an interesting and entertaining game.....if it comes to a decision it will be interesting
2009-08-07 11:17:00 - Jackofalltrades: and as far as troop advantage they should factor in the # of cards that people have in case there is a large imbalance in cards....any person that has 3 or so cards more than another person basicly has that many troops more
2009-08-08 17:32:31 - Joe B.: Looks like I forgot 1.
2009-08-08 20:46:31 - Jackofalltrades: LOL i didn't notice
2009-08-10 15:16:04 - Joe B.: Well, not sure if that was the right move. If Jack kept attacking me, it gave you the advantage and I didn't want to chance it anymore.
2009-08-10 15:16:51 - Joe B.: Of course, you were also strong enough to take him out so, who knows?
2009-08-10 15:17:30 - Joe B.: If you have a set, I'm probably doomed. And might be anyway.
2009-08-10 15:17:36 - Joe B.: GG Jack
2009-08-10 15:18:03 - Joe B.: Oh crap, just my luck. GG
2009-08-10 15:26:17 - i_am_cheri_too: wow! i never would have thought that i would win this game...i really thought either joe or jack would have had it...good game to all!
2009-08-10 22:16:24 - Joe B.: Nice job. I guess my move wasn't the best, but I was hoping with 3 cards you wouldn't have a set. You only had me outnumbered by a hundred, if that many on the big piles.
2009-08-10 22:17:49 - Joe B.: I had 100 or so to stop your 80 and you only had about 100 to try to break my bonuses. Unfortunately, you got that set. Well played and well deserved win. Congat's.
