Standard |
In a standard game each player fends for himself and there is only one winner. |
Automatic |
Regions are randomly distributed at the start of the game and each region starts with three troops. |
Sequential |
A player is selected at random to go first and then subsequent players follow in turn. During a team game the play order alternates between the teams. |
Flat Rate |
At the end of your turn if you have conquered at least one region you get 'spoils.' Once you have three of the same color (or three different) these can be traded in at the start of your turn for bonus troops. A set of three reds is worth four bonus troops. Three greens is worth six and three blues is worth 8. A set of three different colors is worth ten bonus troops. If you own any of the regions that you trade-in you get two bonus troops on those regions. |
Unlimited |
At the end of your turn you can reinforce as many times as you like between regions that are connected. |
Yes |
Fog of War masks enemy positions that are not adjacent to your forces (or your team's forces). It also masks region and zone names in the log |
No |
You can only assault from regions held since the start of your turn. If you conquer a region during your turn you cannot assault from it until your next turn. |
None |

24 Hours |

2008-09-20 15:03:43 - Mike Rotchburns: and now that he's with the jets is he still God? we'll see what the superchargers have to say about that on MNF
2008-09-20 15:04:09 - Mike Rotchburns: I predict lots of INT's for poor old Favre
2008-09-20 15:05:03 - Mike Rotchburns: OOOOps!

2008-09-20 17:46:16 - jasoncim: bold prediction, mike. favre never gets picked off....oh wait!
2008-09-21 08:20:13 - Nyvek: Hey Red Jack, Jason has All of Europe, Most of Asia and some of Australia now. Do you want to align forces for a while?
2008-09-21 08:22:02 - Nyvek: Actually since he hit 5 of Petrie's lands this turn, he may have all of Asia as well.
2008-09-21 10:36:45 - Mike Rotchburns: uh oh
2008-09-21 10:37:39 - Mike Rotchburns: I tried to hold out, but I think my last four armies will be gone soon! GG all
2008-09-21 11:53:29 - Nyvek: GG Mike
2008-09-22 03:14:35 - petrie000: does this mean you're finally gonna let me actually do something besides take my territories back, Nyvek?
2008-09-22 05:52:54 - Nyvek: You were the leader at the time. Somebody had to attack you.
2008-09-22 05:53:37 - Nyvek: After we beat each other up some and Mike somehow snuck 60+ armies to my border, now Jason got the lead easily.
2008-09-22 05:54:48 - Nyvek: He may have more territory than all 3 of us combined.
2008-09-22 23:09:22 - Mike Rotchburns: oh the joys of the fog of war...I was getting my butt kicked from the very beginning then I spotted the yukon surrounded by neutral players...
2008-09-22 23:09:55 - Mike Rotchburns: I had been stockpiling there and trying to get cards when I could, but the I ran out of patience ;-) and was found out
2008-09-22 23:10:24 - Mike Rotchburns: good playing, I hope to be a little better challenge the next time around
2008-09-24 05:12:07 - jasoncim: devastating
2008-09-24 05:18:17 - jasoncim: think you guys successfully changed the tides already
2008-09-24 08:14:22 - Nyvek: Don't know about changing the tide. But, at least we have a fighting chance now. I know none of us have 53 territories.
2008-09-25 19:55:32 - jasoncim: crap. well me missing turns will certainly help your cause
2008-09-26 07:45:42 - Nyvek: Thanks for the help Jason.
2008-09-27 18:49:47 - jasoncim: ha, no problem
2008-09-28 09:35:10 - Red Jack: haha ... thanx petrie ... that's probably for leaving you alone for a while ... you backstabber ...
2008-09-28 09:37:16 - Red Jack: others have 3 or 4 times more than us combined, and you attack me ... you really are clueless ... your rank shows it ...
2008-09-28 12:28:07 - Nyvek: Serious? Jason is gonna whupp all of us.
2008-09-28 14:52:26 - jasoncim: you keep talkin me up even though i haven't been able to do anything but try to defend myself in like 5 turns
2008-09-28 14:54:34 - jasoncim: Nyvek you've been getting much more per turn than me, but it helps your cause to paint me as the empire
2008-09-28 14:56:32 - jasoncim: you have WAY more armies on the board too. I can't even defend myself for one turn these days
2008-09-28 19:32:00 - Nyvek: You are the Empire. We have to focus all fire on your Super Star Destroyer.
2008-09-29 10:22:39 - Nyvek: Well Petrie, it seems Jason hasn't been completely honest about his limping dog self assessment.
2008-09-29 10:24:35 - Nyvek: Unless you consider 35 in Iceland, 22 in Iberia, 15 in Turkey, 7 in Iran, 13 in Moskva weak.
2008-09-29 10:25:41 - Nyvek: Seriously, if you keep duking it out with Red Jack, we are toast. I can keep this up for long. The territories I just snaked, he'll be able to get right back.
2008-09-29 10:26:02 - Nyvek: *can't.
2008-09-29 14:09:07 - jasoncim: ok, man. you're right. i'm in such a position of strength that i can't keep you from getting into my base territiories every single turn. whereas i haven't been able to crack you defenses once all game. good point though. i'm totally lying.
2008-09-29 14:10:31 - jasoncim: oh and that assessment of my armies was BEFORE you annihiliated iceland and moskva
2008-09-29 14:11:08 - jasoncim: but please don't disrespect the fog of war
2008-09-29 22:33:45 - Nyvek: What does disrespect the fog of war mean?
2008-09-30 03:58:18 - petrie000: i think he means don't use territory names and let the other players know what territories he has
2008-09-30 04:30:45 - Nyvek: If that's the case. That ain't gonna happen. If I spend the armies and time to scout the map out, I can do whatever I want with the info as long as everyone gets to hear.
2008-09-30 04:31:42 - Nyvek: Diplomacy is a part of this game, just like die rolls and strategy. But, above all it is just a game. Nothing to get too worked up about.
2008-10-02 00:42:23 - jasoncim: this game is basically Nyvek's. well played and a good job getting everyone to rally against his opposition, albeit deceitfully.
2008-10-02 08:09:22 - Nyvek: With you sitting on 31 territories from Iceland to Australia and 4 cards to boot, this game is far from over and definitely isn't decided.
2008-10-02 19:56:41 - jasoncim: i think you can stop the charade now. i don't have a single territory with more than 1 army and you know that.
2008-10-03 20:32:26 - Nyvek: Well, ya did have the 12 in Western Australia. But, of course they're dead now.
2008-10-04 16:43:31 - jasoncim: man you really are the worst. P.S. those armies were after i took my turn.
2008-10-04 21:32:02 - Nyvek: I think your taking this game a little too seriously Jason. Sorry I ruined your enjoyment of it by joking around.
2008-10-06 06:01:31 - Nyvek: Good game guys.
