2008-07-30 01:23:26 - elzunsal: hey, I was checking out your profile . .
2008-07-30 01:23:47 - elzunsal: I see you are very active with CC; are you a founding member?
2008-07-30 01:24:00 - elzunsal: it's a great site
2008-07-30 02:29:39 - TaCktiX: I'm not a founding member, not by a longshot
2008-07-30 02:29:44 - TaCktiX: but I did get very active, and fast
2008-07-30 03:44:27 - elzunsal: what kinda stuff do you have to learn to make maps?
2008-07-30 10:51:08 - TaCktiX: well, the bulk of it is the ability to use a graphics program and create something with it
2008-07-30 10:51:27 - TaCktiX: most people, including me, use a version of Photoshop
2008-07-30 10:51:55 - TaCktiX: aside from the graphics (which need to be fairly good), having a killer good concept helps a ton
2008-07-30 10:52:02 - TaCktiX: consider that Arms Race isn't like any other map out there
2008-07-30 10:52:28 - TaCktiX: being unique is technically a requirement to any map, but being VERY unique makes feedback very easy to come by
2008-07-30 10:52:54 - TaCktiX: and always always always listen and respond to feedback, you can compare the 1st version of The Citadel to the 21st, and see the difference it made
2008-07-30 16:42:10 - InkL0sed: check out the Foundry Newsletter here: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=56846
2008-07-30 16:42:18 - InkL0sed: just popping in...
2008-07-31 03:15:56 - elzunsal: cool
2008-07-31 03:16:35 - elzunsal: so, can one come up with the concept and another build the map?
2008-07-31 04:23:44 - TaCktiX: yes, but the number of people who are willing to do the graphics while someone else steers the idea is few
