2020-05-01 03:04:25 - random21: gg team 2. who was leading? in general you guys played well. fun game when both teams manage get into higher deploys.
2020-05-02 23:40:56 - WALLZ: Cayman did the honors. Personally i think this map sucks :-D too big with too many neutrals in my humble opinion.
2020-05-02 23:41:29 - WALLZ: we got pretty close to getting the edge at one point. well played team 1
2020-05-03 04:26:04 - random21: Everything you just said and more is why I think this map is the best this site has. personally... I can't stand games where you deploy 3. You make a 6 stack. Or make a couple 4 stacks to attack 1 three stack. This map starts off strong and deploy climbs
2020-05-03 04:27:11 - random21: and at the same time, think the neutrals spaces and paces the game well. everyone has plenty of bonuses to choose from... though obviously some areas and combinations on map are stronger. but its not, ok everyone deploy 3 and stack on one territory
2020-05-03 04:27:55 - random21: or on a map where there are 10 bonuses. but anyone only ever fights for the same 2 because the others dont work. I just think this map works on so many levels. But i agree to each their own.
2020-05-03 04:29:56 - random21: Cayman I think you played it fairly well. I agree, I was even commenting to my teammates at times I couldn't tell if we were behind or ahead. I think were fairly close throughout most for sure.
2020-05-03 04:31:39 - random21: If it's worth anything, as post game analysis is worth, the mistake came in atlanta maybe? Not in the act of taking it originally, I more or less thought that was fine. good turn order of orange vs yellow. Also, think we had a few tries at hitting 21
2020-05-03 04:32:45 - random21: and montgomery and just were delayed a turn or two getting it, as it turned out. i think right when you took atlanta we were able to seal, but werent sure if we could hold it. So think maybe the mistake, there was a time I think blue stacks everything on
2020-05-03 04:33:48 - random21: 35, and I was sure orange was gonna deploy all atlanta to break. But maybe since log didnt show yellow iwth a +3 you didnt know it was a bonus? anyways. It look like orange grabbed a few territories in florida, some bonuses, charleston that particular
2020-05-03 04:34:27 - random21: round, I can't remember our stack size, like 34 troops? I thought you guy were gonna do like 45-50 on atlanta and just stampede through maybe.
2020-05-03 04:35:29 - random21: Anyways, its not a barb by any means, I just think that was the round I felt most behind in when you guys held atlanta, and rest of game was really affected by who held atlanta, as soon as you went for it, I think goal was to push for AL, and KY? Va,....
2020-05-03 04:36:16 - random21: not that we had those bonuses at the time, we wer ejust securing KY and AL, va wouldnt come until bit later, but when you break through a neutral 5 that youve selected, gotta fight it through. because the cross side of opening up the five neutral
2020-05-03 04:36:49 - random21: on atlanta and following thorugh is giving us a plus six, even taking denver i thought was decent play once it kinda went wayward. but I might not have done jackson. Anyways.
2020-05-03 04:37:45 - random21: All in all, we each got to 60 deploy ish. and above. And with that high deploy, there isnt really too much criticism or input. Both sides had great games, and with a few battles going either way, either side can generally take those games.
2020-05-03 09:38:07 - Caymanmew: Atlanta loss for sure was a huge blow, i believe that was one of the main turning points. looking through th log i believe you guys had 27 troops at the start fo Orange's turn, he had 14, dropped another 22 on it to make it 36v27. he used 5 more troops
2020-05-03 09:39:42 - Caymanmew: elsewhere. He got bad dice though and failed to take Birmingham. we could never get back to that spot again. If we win that role i think we win the game but which says how close it was. The other spot of importance that did not go our way was Kansas City
2020-05-03 09:42:28 - Caymanmew: if we could of held it we could of build into MO and made AR safe. Honestly though, by round 8 we had no more bonuse to go for, we had everything we could basically. We would of had to fight you guys in a multi round battle (take and buffer) for any more
2020-05-03 09:43:39 - Caymanmew: bonuses after that. Meanwhile i believe you still had options to grow into relatively safely.
2020-05-03 09:45:59 - Caymanmew: Fun game though, glad we gave you guys a run for your money. :)
2020-05-03 12:01:45 - GeneralTaken: Yeah, it was a good game, despite the loss! Well won, and thanks for the honest analysis of it. Until the next battle, good luck
