2017-01-17 05:47:36 - nibotha: Nice dice for you in this one too!
2017-01-17 06:05:03 - nibotha: Hoping green has 2 pairs or it's over...
2017-01-18 19:41:35 - bib.ou: not sure, that was a real disaster for me
2017-01-18 22:54:45 - nibotha: Not really
2017-01-18 22:55:30 - nibotha: What is a fisaster is the fact that I have deployed far more troops than you but I am still so far behind!
2017-01-19 12:29:42 - bib.ou: Let's discuss at the end of the game but - besides the statistic alea- I have a very logic explanation for this fact. In all cases, game is far from over
2017-01-20 06:42:58 - nibotha: ok
2017-01-20 06:47:58 - nibotha: I would like to hear why you think there is a logical explanation to why you are 45 troops ahead...
2017-01-20 20:35:27 - bib.ou: I'll tell you everything by round 30. There are 3 explanations : one is the luck factor (unfortunately not as bog) a sedcond is linked to the strategy and means that I have temporaly an advantage but I won't keep it and a third one is also linked to the
2017-01-20 20:35:55 - bib.ou: strategy and explains part of it
2017-01-20 21:05:55 - bib.ou: that means that, unfortunately for me, you're not as for as it looks like right now
2017-01-21 07:10:26 - nibotha: My guess is that you will say that you have taken advantage of attacking dice by dropping a single troop on regions that have 3 on them meaning that you can use these regiins to attack with 3 dice...
2017-01-21 07:11:40 - nibotha: The reason I didn't do this is because I realized that region count makes no difference here
2017-01-21 07:12:19 - nibotha: (provided you are getting 12 troops per turn per player for having regions...
2017-01-21 07:13:26 - nibotha: I don't usually believe in stacking and giving attacking advantage to the other player but I believe holding an actual bonus is worth allowing the other player a 7% attacking advantage...
2017-01-21 07:17:05 - nibotha: (3 dice Vs 2 gives an average of 7% advantage)
2017-01-21 07:17:41 - nibotha: Attacking advantage is even higher 3 dice Vs 1
2017-01-21 07:18:56 - nibotha: Although I just lost 11 troops killing only 4 of yours and all 4 were on 4 regions (3 dice Bs 1 on every roll!)
2017-01-21 07:20:04 - nibotha: This one could still go either way...
2017-01-21 08:57:38 - bib.ou: Exactly, I consider the advantage I have is temporary and does not really reflect situation on the map. Besides your strategy allowed you to secure a number of bonuses and with rounds passing that could compensate (by far) the gain made with attacks...
2017-01-22 22:06:47 - bib.ou: my real hope was rather on the cards. I was lucky to get two three cards set, but it was quite likely that at a certain point I would have possibility to cash twice before you do. I was rather expecting to take blue with 5 cards and a bit later...
2017-01-23 17:26:40 - nibotha: What makes you think I would allow blue to have 5 cards?
2017-01-23 17:27:32 - nibotha: Unless he was stuck with 2 pairs (which incidentally he was that round even though the chances of that happening are only 2 in 9)
2017-01-23 17:28:15 - nibotha: Both your players having 3 card sets was at 1 in 9 chance!
2017-01-23 17:28:33 - nibotha: And of course they both did!
2017-01-23 20:14:52 - bib.ou: Well in fact, each "turn of cash" there are several (unlikely) possibilities that I have two cashes and you noone:
2017-01-23 20:15:31 - bib.ou: - like this one I have two three card set and you no = 1/3x2/3x1/3=2/27
2017-01-23 20:16:51 - bib.ou: - but it can also be no three cards set for red, no three cards set for blue, three cards set for green, no set for yellow, set for red...
2017-01-23 20:17:52 - bib.ou: 2/3x2/3x1/3x2/3x2/3...
2017-01-23 20:18:47 - bib.ou: so many possible solutions and over several cash rounds it had to happen... Of course that strategy could only work because I started...
2017-01-23 21:06:22 - nibotha: so 2/27 and 16/243 every turn in so approx every 3 rounds
2017-01-23 22:00:07 - bib.ou: If I have a bit of time I'll look at all possible combinations, but I think that, all in all, every 3 rounds it was probably around 20% chance
2017-01-23 23:08:54 - nibotha: But also every 3 rounds it doesn't happen killing blue becomes less and less likely...
