2016-10-03 09:22:19 - MGSteve: Just doesn't have the same ring as you rascal you but... ;)
2016-10-03 09:23:17 - MGSteve: Oh heavens! Looks like this drop was designed to just beg me to win!
2016-10-03 09:23:25 - MGSteve: Good luck!
2016-10-03 09:25:08 - MGSteve: See you were listening when I said go for the small boni.
2016-10-03 09:27:41 - MGSteve: I would say that there is no other place in CC where you can better learn to play and win 1v1 than right here on the SoC Ladder.
2016-10-03 09:29:25 - MGSteve: With random maps, you're always at the mercy of the map. And if you pick the settings you'd choose for a map you're thinking of, you can always get a map that those settings just are not made for.
2016-10-03 09:29:49 - MGSteve: And that can be a real learning experience.
2016-10-03 09:30:17 - MGSteve: Wanna truce at
2016-10-03 09:30:23 - MGSteve: Dover?
2016-10-03 17:52:58 - bobbythomson: Ha, ha, ha - what's the point of a truce in one on one?
2016-10-03 17:58:22 - bobbythomson: Oh, MG, I always learn the best from making mistakes, especially when they come in the courtroom. So all of the games must be random, and that means none of these mean anything? Or the challenge just doesn't mean anything?
2016-10-03 18:06:16 - bobbythomson: I think I'd rather be called a "wascally wabbit" than a lawyer. I will remember the random rule, like I said, I only played the ladder twice before.
2016-10-03 18:06:43 - bobbythomson: And made a "rascal's" mistake but not reading the rules again before this game.
2016-10-04 06:11:12 - MGSteve: The ones I sent you were random so they count. The one you sent me wasn't so it needs replaced.
2016-10-04 16:45:08 - bobbythomson: Okay, so I need to set up another - I get it and will do now.
2016-10-05 00:39:29 - bobbythomson: So how does Zombie work? First time with that setting
2016-10-05 00:42:45 - bobbythomson: went back and read the Zombie rule - don't want to be called a wascal again!
2016-10-05 00:43:11 - bobbythomson: makes a big difference as to when one turns in a set, huh?
2016-10-05 09:00:10 - MGSteve: Yessirreebob!
2016-10-05 09:00:37 - MGSteve: As in love and war, timing is everything.
2016-10-06 10:24:10 - bobbythomson: with zombie, what can you do to avoid killing your own troops? Perhaps taking a set when they are NOT yours - but I would not look forward to sets the same
2016-10-07 04:47:21 - MGSteve: Best thing you can do is make sure that you only have 1 on any spoil you own, keep the number of troops low on each tert so that you'll lose less if one gets nuked and hope that the spoil you draw last and have to turn the next turn doesn't have the tert
2016-10-07 04:47:30 - MGSteve: with lots of troops on it.
2016-10-07 23:33:00 - MGSteve: Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my bonus. Prepare to die.
2016-10-08 01:35:18 - bobbythomson: Montoyo? Is that what the M stands for - I assumed that MG stood for "machine gun".
2016-10-08 01:36:44 - bobbythomson: okay, I see you have a set - I'm prepared - somebody told me not to leave a big stack anywhere when faced with nuking
2016-10-08 03:03:51 - MGSteve: Nukes or Zombies will getcha. I'm amazed at how many times I get Z's in the game I'm playing there, now. Every turn I'm dropping back in my boni to take back the Z'd terts.
2016-10-08 03:04:36 - MGSteve: I have like 42 or so due at the end of my turn and at the start of the next I'm down to 18 or 8 os so.
2016-10-08 03:05:45 - MGSteve: But we're spanking em good so who cares. The MG isn't for a weapon, the sports car or majestic gazelle.
2016-10-08 03:05:47 - MGSteve: It
2016-10-08 03:06:54 - MGSteve: It's for master gardener. I've done a lot of volunteer work with the local master gardeners.
2016-10-08 03:11:24 - MGSteve: And the 13 had to go all the way to 3v1 to get the 7 on Effingham. Not to mention that I had to Z myself and couldn't take back my single that I Z'd. Oh boo hoo, weep, moan...
2016-10-08 03:12:57 - MGSteve: And holy horse hockey but you are doing great here! I fear this one is lost already. Nice work.
2016-10-08 03:23:31 - bobbythomson: I meant the machine gun comment facetiously - did not think it fit you but didn't think of master gardener. Of the four games, though, this may be the only one for me. You have played me very well and kicking me good in the others.
2016-10-08 03:52:31 - MGSteve: Yep. You started off with that good drop and just getting bonus after bonus while just struggled.
2016-10-09 03:59:22 - MGSteve: Yep. It's all over but the mop up. gg
2016-10-09 11:12:38 - bobbythomson: Thanks - hope you have to nuke yourself mostly :)
2016-10-10 04:17:25 - MGSteve: Why thank you for the kind thought. I wish you the same, dear friend.
2016-10-10 04:17:58 - MGSteve: Damn auto correct stuck an r in fiend. Hate it when that happens.
2016-10-10 12:08:47 - bobbythomson: Ha, ha - LOL - seems an appropriate auto correct! I will never forget the most outrageous auto-correct I saw streaming below pictures of the Iraq invasion while we were looking for weapons of mass destruction. The comments below the photos of US troops
2016-10-10 12:10:09 - bobbythomson: Searching buildings, many of them apparently Sadam's Places, said "US troops are looking for weapons of mass destruction in Sadam Hussein's pal's ass".
2016-10-10 12:19:40 - bobbythomson: Sadam's Palaces!!
2016-10-10 12:21:06 - bobbythomson: Thinking out loud here - I note you have 3 cards and could have a set. I wish I had spread out my RBS's a little bit more on the chance you could nuke one or more of them.
2016-10-11 06:46:38 - MGSteve: I do have a set. 2 of them are for your singles back in the outback. The other's one of my singles. Yippee
2016-10-11 06:47:14 - MGSteve: You'll never take me alive
2016-10-11 19:30:34 - bobbythomson: We kill prisoners anyway so no sense in surrendering!
2016-10-11 19:31:26 - bobbythomson: what would happen if you had to nuke your only remaining tert?
2016-10-12 02:02:39 - MGSteve: Then you kill yourself and game over.
2016-10-12 02:03:32 - MGSteve: Nicely done. Now I hope you have enough troops to finish it this round.
2016-10-12 10:37:18 - bobbythomson: thanks Steve - fun map and great playing against you. One of few times I have one in a one-on-one. I see Elric is starting one-on-one training and I am in a three game set with him.
