2015-09-07 23:50:34 - Game has been initialized
2015-09-15 05:38:25 - Captn B held the Conquer the Finals objective
2015-09-15 05:38:25 - Captn B won the game
2015-09-15 05:38:25 - muti lost 15 points
2015-09-15 05:38:25 - Captn B gained 15 points
2015-09-10 02:39:33 - Captn B: I'll gather steam now and it should be over in a few turns.
2015-09-10 19:24:30 - muti: hi Captn. No the quails are for eating though we do intend to eat the eggs too at some point we just never seem to get around to it.
2015-09-10 19:25:28 - muti: The pheasants are actually my neighbours (well a shoot syndicate's) but my wood is a small part of the shoot and the coop is right across from my wood so we get given lots of pheasant each shoot day which makes for some lovely meals.
2015-09-10 19:25:39 - muti: Certainly see you around:)
2015-09-10 20:43:11 - Captn B: Ooooo. I'm coming to supper next shoot day! lol
2015-09-10 20:44:03 - Captn B: I haven't had pheasant for coon's age! I've even forgotten what the meat tastes like! Wow.
2015-09-10 20:44:34 - Captn B: I imagine it's just like chicken, but less meaty? Depending on the size.
2015-09-10 20:46:28 - Captn B: Ha. The joke about the quail eggs is that they're so small that it would take a bunch to make a meal, right? A little bigger than robins eggs. Well yeah, much bigger, but not too much!
2015-09-10 20:47:32 - Captn B: So do the shoot club members just come and shoot them, take pictures, and then leave their kills behind? Too busy to clean what they garnered?
2015-09-10 20:48:21 - Captn B: I guess that's somewhat typical.
2015-09-11 18:15:15 - muti: we do pheasant as a thai dish called laab or larb. Essentially minced with oriental spices. We also got the local Thai chef to do pheasant Penang which is lovely.
2015-09-11 18:15:34 - muti: More of a flavour than chicken especially than shop-bought chicken
2015-09-11 18:15:46 - muti: The shoot thankfully is rather atypical.
2015-09-11 18:16:47 - muti: It was set up by two of the local farmers and a wood burner installer who's become one of our best friends. It's specifically not posh and not expensive and all the birds are eaten by locals or sold to a dealer who sells them to France. There are big
2015-09-11 18:17:03 - muti: local shoots that bulldoze their birds which is just awful.
2015-09-11 18:18:01 - muti: It's half way between the posh British view of shooting and duelling banjos/deliverance style but with more port.
2015-09-11 18:18:14 - muti: Quite fun really but almost always when I'm at work.
2015-09-11 18:20:05 - muti: oh and like you said the quail's eggs are delicious but tiny but the quail themselves are lovely roast, grilled etc. and i originally intended to do them not pheasant for the larb but it just takes too many...
2015-09-11 21:15:27 - Captn B: hahahaha!!!
2015-09-11 21:16:35 - Captn B: "2015-09-11 11:18:01 - muti: It's half way between the posh British view of shooting and duelling banjos/deliverance style but with more sport."
2015-09-11 21:17:19 - Captn B: Oh, yeah, now, I remember what quail tastes like. :) yummm-mmmy!
2015-09-11 21:17:49 - Captn B: But...as you said, you just need too many to really have a meal!
2015-09-11 21:18:27 - Captn B: My last quail supper, I ate 3 just to work up an apetite to go eat another 10! haha
2015-09-12 12:35:56 - muti: port not sport but equally true. Also lots of sloe gin which is delicious.
2015-09-13 07:21:09 - Captn B: Ah! lulz
2015-09-13 07:21:55 - Captn B: Here I "fixed" your word so you would know that I understood what you were intending, but then it was I that misunderstood! lol
2015-09-13 07:22:16 - Captn B: That makes your observation even funnier!!!!! lol
2015-09-13 07:23:21 - Captn B: "2015-09-11 11:18:01 - muti: It's half way between the posh British view of shooting and duelling banjos/deliverance style but with more sport.""
2015-09-13 07:26:29 - Captn B: is the wrong interpretation! But you said,
2015-09-13 07:27:06 - Captn B: "It's half way between the posh British view of shooting and duelling banjos/deliverance style but with more port."
2015-09-13 07:27:47 - Captn B: An even funnier contrast that I seem to be beating to death in my American style. haha
2015-09-13 07:28:53 - Captn B: (When I requoted you, I had accidentally requoted my version and accidentally posted it, then had to make up for my error by again restating it...sorry.)
2015-09-13 07:30:33 - Captn B: Didn't know sloe gin was popular amongst the posh ones--over here its almost like a date-rape drug (at least in my day it was). That stuff really sneaks up on you!
2015-09-13 07:32:15 - Captn B: I make wine as a hobby, for 13 to 14 years now. I've made all kinds of things out of so many fruits, and even mead and I accidentally stumbled on how to make "champagne", but have never made port. New challenge! :-D
2015-09-13 07:33:42 - Captn B: Most of mine turn out to be more of a cordial than a wine, since the alcohol content is generally above 14% (and sometimes up to 16+%)..
2015-09-13 07:35:03 - Captn B: Fun stuff. We live more of a country-style life than a city style, but live pretty close to "civilization," if you can relent to call parts of America civilized. heh heh heh
2015-09-13 07:46:53 - muti: My wife makes lots of fruit wines too whereas I'm in charge of making the cider (alcoholic sort not just apple juice).
2015-09-13 07:47:34 - muti: Sloe gin isn't posh just rural really and the shoot isn't really posh either. My friend Jerry who's one of the three guys who set it up is covered in terrible tatoos and looks like Popeye.
2015-09-13 07:47:57 - muti: Elderflower champagne is a good and easy one if you have elders near you (probably too hot there)
2015-09-13 10:25:46 - Captn B: Hmm. All the elders near me are in old folks' homes. ;-)
2015-09-13 10:27:03 - Captn B: Never thought of that. Elderflower champagne sounds great! Wonder if I can lay me hands on some Elder juice (besides what may drip from behind the wheelchair?
2015-09-13 10:27:24 - Captn B: But that's just too gross. Sorry about that! :-P
2015-09-13 21:25:18 - muti: lol i like the elders one:)
2015-09-13 23:22:05 - Captn B: :)
2015-09-13 23:23:31 - Captn B: Almost done here.
2015-09-13 23:25:01 - Captn B: Yeah, I thnk our best wine has been a cranberry, an organic bilberry (no idea what that fruit is, just made it from a ready-made juice), and our meads (dry, semi-sweet, and sweet).
2015-09-13 23:25:13 - Captn B: All have been well received. :)
2015-09-15 04:05:36 - Captn B: Thanks again for the game, muti. :)
2015-09-15 04:05:56 - Captn B: And the tourney! :)
2015-09-15 05:30:59 - muti: u2 and sorry no time to chat
