2012-08-04 16:34:31 - Hugiboo: shall we add Belgian Congo & South Africa to our treaty red?
2012-08-05 11:06:30 - wookie1: yeah, im in
2012-08-07 17:16:51 - Lost Nomad: well yellow, since blue and red are teaming up shall we truce too
2012-08-08 06:34:10 - Hugiboo: Hey Petromax / Pato69, maybe you should make your double account a little more subtle. From searching your past games together, you never attack each other until the end of the game.
2012-08-08 06:35:59 - Hugiboo: Also have almost same # of games, are from the same country, & always join games one after another...
2012-08-08 07:01:57 - Hugiboo: There, reported. Other players keep in mind the combined strength of Yellow/Pink (& the fact that they're cheating) & play accordingly.
2012-08-11 02:16:48 - wookie1: doesnt need to be a double account though, they are prolly just friends, but if u guys are playing together, it would be good if u clarified this in each game..
2012-08-11 17:48:08 - Hugiboo: I think joining the games right after the other indicates it's most likely a double account. That or they carefully coordinate before every game together to join at the same time.
2012-08-11 17:51:03 - Hugiboo: Either way it's basically the same; the alliance is obviously unfair if the rest of us don't know about it; though a person of average intelligence could probably do this in a more subtle way so as not to make it plain for all to see.
2012-08-13 13:22:34 - Pato69: blá blá blá
2012-08-13 15:17:19 - Hugiboo: Great defense. You can't even win wih two accounts. Maybe you should try 3.
2012-08-15 14:24:31 - wookie1: If I would end the truce now, do u also have to wait til next turn? Or u can u attack right away? We just said one turn notice, nothing more.. Besides, as u know, the truce is only active on the specified borders..
2012-08-15 14:29:07 - wookie1: I see u share two of my main interests, philosophy and sports, perhaps not the usual combo?
2012-08-15 14:30:59 - wookie1: I also see ur main interest is theology, i know this doesnt necassarily mean ur religios, but, are u?
2012-08-15 15:05:41 - Hugiboo: My general practice with 1 turn notice on sequential games is whoever ends the truce allows the other person to attack first. So as long as you notify me before my turn, you are free to attack on your next turn, but I would be free to attack immediately.
2012-08-15 15:09:00 - Hugiboo: In Freestyle games, notice would have to be given before the other player makes his turn in a round, & both players would be unable to attack until the next round. This is the practice I follow.
2012-08-15 15:10:35 - Hugiboo: However, if you insist that I wait and let you attack first, I will comply because that seems more in line with the letter of the agreement. I'm still not sure how to offer those terms in a clear & concise way.
2012-08-15 15:12:03 - Hugiboo: And yes, we do have the freedom to attack on territories not in the truce; I've never gotten upset at someone for breaking an "implied truce", except when doing so was detrimental to their interests as well
2012-08-15 15:12:22 - Hugiboo: Are you saying you don't want to be friends anymore?
2012-08-15 15:23:05 - Hugiboo: As to your other questions, I admit there doesn't seem to be much interest in philosophy in the group I play ball hockey with; I'm not as sure about the sport prowess of those I discuss philosophy with however.
2012-08-15 15:31:38 - Hugiboo: I am a Christian, which is what drives my interest in theology. In my mind, questions about ultimate purpose & meaning are more interesting than whether holes exist & the identity of Theseus' ship (not that these are uninteresting).
2012-08-15 15:33:33 - Hugiboo: How about yourself?
2012-08-15 18:20:13 - wookie1: I agree with u regarding the truce, if i break it, u should be able to attack first..
2012-08-15 18:20:32 - wookie1: thanx for thourough answer..
2012-08-15 18:21:37 - wookie1: hehe, no, we're still friends, im just contemplating ending the truce, thats all..
2012-08-15 18:22:49 - wookie1: The same experience for me, i played soccer and icehockey when younger, now table tennis and tennis. I also enjoy volleyball whenever i have the opportunity..
2012-08-15 18:28:43 - wookie1: Absolutely agree with ur inclination towards ontology. I think thats might be the most important part of philosophy as I see it. Though, im not religious, nor am i an atheist. I have an agnostic position...
2012-08-15 18:30:05 - wookie1: ... but prefer to refer to myself simply as a philosopher, who likes sport :-)
2012-08-15 19:25:16 - wookie1: what if i would attack orientale from uganda, would that be breaking the truce?
2012-08-15 19:45:25 - Hugiboo: yeah, because the truce gave each other protected territories, it wasn't just between individual territores.
2012-08-15 19:45:58 - Hugiboo: this is almost like the real thing, let's kill each other in another country, but our countries will be at peace
2012-08-15 19:46:24 - Hugiboo: except you invaded France when I was going to invade England this turn ;p
2012-08-15 20:08:45 - wookie1: hehe, true true..
2012-08-15 21:33:42 - Hugiboo: this map actually does a good job of discouraging European conflict, as there's not much to gain from it
2012-08-15 21:34:03 - Hugiboo: especially early in the game
2012-08-17 00:06:16 - wookie1: true
2012-08-17 23:16:36 - Hugiboo: hey orange, if you want to keep the balance of power, I could use some help. I suggest attacking England.
2012-08-19 15:23:48 - wookie1: Nomad, feel free to take Nigeria..
2012-08-20 05:42:10 - Hugiboo: this is pretty much over. Last chance orange to keep red from opening up
2012-08-23 19:00:04 - wookie1: sorry for being so slow guys, ive had much to do and to think of lately, im usually not this slow before taking turns..
2012-08-23 19:28:26 - Hugiboo: I waited by my computer for 20hrs for you to do your turn! I lost my job, my wife left me, my dog died because I didn't feed it, and my house is on fire. Why did you do this to me?
2012-08-24 15:59:11 - wookie1: oh dear, i didnt realise it meant so much to u, u should have said somtehing, or gotten a premium account ;-)
2012-08-25 04:55:29 - Hugiboo: I forgive you this time, just let me win
2012-08-25 15:31:24 - Hugiboo: ack orange. Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
2012-08-27 02:37:07 - Hugiboo: I was right, it wasn't the right time
2012-08-27 02:39:42 - Hugiboo: now would be a good time to go for to zululand
2012-08-28 14:33:59 - Hugiboo: let's finish this quickly red; consider our truce over
2012-08-28 21:57:17 - wookie1: oki
2012-08-30 15:18:40 - Hugiboo: that was kind of a gong show, but well played wookie
2012-08-30 19:37:15 - wookie1: well played u too, gg
