MEK has demonstrated her worth as the revolutionaries' key spy - well played.
In the early twentieth century, as a member of the clandestine Russian revolutionaries based in Paris (and former associate of Pyotr Rachkovsky) you undergo initial spy training. You are identified as a candidate to become a key man in the planned revolution.
Along with a number of other comrades you are charged to undertake a number of information and sabotage missions to subvert the Tsarist Russian Empire and pave the way for a socialist revolution.
Details of your first mission are provided to you – to assassinate leaders of the Okhrana’s satellite agency in France, thus reducing their attempts to disrupt your organisation. From then on, missions will be revealed by your superiors, in some kind of untraceable anonymous fashion, in keeping with the need for secrecy …
You are also briefed on the recognition and benefits that success in early missions would bring, as well as being warned that failure to complete any of the initial missions will result in you being removed from the elite spy core.
This tournament is the first in a series of Russian Spy assassin tournaments in conjunction with the Nation of The Red Star clan. The tournament follows an ‘evolving storyline’ format. It is open to all players with a decent attendance record. Premium is advised as there will be 2, and possibly 3 games at once.
A note drops through the letter box of your Parisian flat:
Enclosed is a photograph of your next target: a Tsarist diplomat believed to be in the UK negotiating an alliance against the central powers. He also holds key military information - you must gain the information, then assassinate him and his associates to remove all trace of your activities and put a spanner into the works of the Tsarists' alliance negotiations.
Good luck with your mission and make sure you divulge no information about us, even under extreme torture.

When you get back to the lobby of your London Hotel, you receive a telegram message:
"Congratulations on completing a successful mission comrade. You can now consider yourself a competent spy. Await further instructions while we continue to recruit.
This message will self destruct in 10 seconds"
......
When you get back to the lobby of your London Hotel, you receive a telegram message:
"We need 2 more competent spies, you have 2more chances to prove yourself. The third mission is to assassinate a Tsarist leader with a known penchant for lady boys. Head for the Netherlands and details will be communicated to you: View Game 4719697 (Auto-Join Game) Your fourth mission is in Italy - to undermine an alliance the Tsarists are trying to build there against the Central Powers. When you arrive there you will be informed of your target: View Game 4719647 (Auto-Join Game)
Good luck comrade"

While you walk to the shops, someone bumps into you in the crowded street. When you get your wallet out in the shops, you discover he has left you a note in your pocket:
"You are now a competent spy comrade. With the Tsarists preparing to join the Entente powers in the coming war, we would like you to infiltrate their armies, in the west and east. You will need to assassinate two key Tsarist generals and bring back their top secret plans. Here are the details of your targets:
..........
When you return to your Parisien flat, you find a note has been posted, it's all written with letters cut-out from newspapers:
"You have a further opportunity to demonstrate your abilities comrade. We have reason to believe a senior Tsarist official is hiding secret documents in Luxembourg. Eliminate him and capture the documents. Further details of your target will be provided on arrival."
..........
When you get back to the lobby of your Hotel, you receive a telegram message:
"Thank you for disrupting the Tsarist attempts to consolidate their power. Await further instructions while we continue to recruit special agents for revolutionary activities."
..........
You awake, groggy, to find your hotel room is steamy - a message has been written in the condensation on the mirror:
"Thank you comrade - we have been able to subvert many of the Tsarists attempts to build political alliances abroad. Now you must eliminate their senior political director of operations in Russia - this will help us to prepare for revolution.
Once you arrive in Russia, you will of course be given full details of your target."
Initial Infiltration Phase: Three groups of seven players undertake 2 missions. Successful comrades become recognized as a Competent Spy and progress to be selected for further missions. The five remaining comrades will undertake a further two missions, with the successful candidate in each also being selected for further missions.
Advanced Infiltration Stage: Two groups of six players undertake 2 missions. Spies able to successfully complete either mission progress to the final subversion mission. The four remaining comrades will undertake a further mission, with the successful candidate also being selected for the final subversion mission.
Final Subversion Stage: Six players will undertake a highly crucial subversion mission. The successful candidate will achieve significant recognition with the revolutionary movement.
The first mission will take place on the France map. Further missions will take place on maps to be revealed as the storyline evolves … Matches will be Assassin and Sequential. Matches will also generally involve Flat Rate Spoils, Adjacent Reinforcements and Fog of War. Some missions will be escalating (other settings the same).
Players must have a 97% attendance record, have played a minimum 25 matches, and not have dropped out from one of my tournaments previously! Freemium players must have at least 2 free slots available at all times (except the final stage).
Players will have 24 hours to join their matches from when the joining PM is sent. Failure to do so will result in a reserve being sought (harsh, I know).
* Winners of each match should PM the Tournament Organiser with details of the no. of terminations for each player. Failure to do so straight after match completion will result in points not being awarded.
Players will be informed when they have a match and will have 24 hours to join. If they fail to do so then they will be ejected from the tournament and a reserve will replace them.
* Winners of each match are expected to PM the Tournament Organiser with details of the no. of terminations for each player. Failure to do so straight after match completion will result in points nt being awarded.
Players must inform the tournament organiser if they have a regular partner or opponent that is also featuring in the tournament. The organizer can then ensure these players do not play together to avoid any potential claims of foul play by other players.
If reports of suspected foul play are made and the players in question have not declared that they are regular partners / opponents then they will be both be ejected from the tournament without question or the need for irrefutable evidence.

How many players advance in the next round? And how do you decide who advances if it's more than one? In each group, 7 players play 2 games and each winner progresses. Then, the remaining 2 players play 2 games and each winner progresses. So 4 players go through from each group (unless someone wins more than one game). Similar scenario for the second phase.
