tournament idea Showdown

Alrigth so this is my brilliant idea (well hopefuly

)
We get a group of people who joint he tourney, their goal is to win a certain number of games (for example lets say 10) first, this will be decided by the time in the game record.
then in order to get a win the must challenge someone (and they must accept in order for it to continue) to a showdown and win it
the showdown goes like this, 3 games (not simultaneous)
1) a game whose options are picked by the challenger
2) a game whose options are picked by the defender
3) a game whose options are "standard" this means that for EVERY showdown this third game is the same, the specific options will be voted upon by group Before the tourney begins
Who ever wins 2 of the three automatically wins the showdown (you must play all 3 even if u win the first 2) and gets another win closer to the end.
i will have a large group (above 25) so that you can battle many people
people will not be able to battle the same person twice in the tourney, and if you deadbeat a SINGLE game, u lose the showdown and are immediately removed from the tourney, no exceptions. Also no one can be in more than ONE show down at a time so that premiums dont get an advantage.
to prevent people from challenging based on ranks, i am contemplating putting a maximum on score at time of joining. (most likely corporal) REMOVED

what do u mean? if everyone is under corporal level then everyone is about equal so no one has a huge advantage

I think you should completely remove the maximum score thing. Couple of major reasons:
1) People can still "rank challenge" Cooks could still challenge corporals to try to get more points and etc.
2) You will find it even harder to recruit, especially if you're trying to eliminate "rank challenging". I doubt you'd find 16 corporals or 1 rank. Leave it open, rank challenging will happen, whether you try to prevent it.
Will comment on rest of tourney later, after dinner

Okay... I honestly think this idea could work. I'm not sure if you could really find a big pool of people...[or it may be a lot of work]...probably 16 would work? I'm not that sure...no more than 32 or you'll have your hands very, very full.
I think that you should probably have to have no more than half the people as the amount of challenges that you need to win, like if there's 32, no more than 16 challenges...
One question, are you allowed to challenge the same person twice, or no? [For instance, if A challenged B, B won, is A allowed to challenge B again, and if so, what is the benefit for B?]

well you cant challenge the same person twice, to prevent big players from picking on smaller players also i dont see a general interest in this so i may drop the idea, i tries something similar, (Red vs Blue but it doesnt seem to be very loved)

Well...if that...I think the whole idea needs to be changed...what happens if there's a stalemate? It could take a long time to finish...
