Can we do a username change. Perhaps, only allowed once and you must submit a valid reason. And you could have a star or something that would last 1 or 2 months to let everyone know that you have changed.

Or a way to capitalize letters. My 'u' makes me look tiny and needs fixing.

If you changed usernames, what about the ignore list?

Or how would mods keep track of 'problem players'?

Sorry, you're stuck with it.

Everywhere your old name appears on the site would be changed to the new one. Including the ignore lists. And I am sure the mods can track anybody they want, however they want.

You could always make a new account, stop playing your old one, and hope not to get in trouble...

What about premium members? Premium members would have to buy premuim again.

All that would stay the same, just a name change. All you points would stay the same, ranking, ignore list, etc. There has to be a way to make this work.

We've discussed allowing this in the future for premium members. I believe it's somewhere on the To-Do list.

How in the heck did you find me? Must be my irresistible charms coming through the airwaves. And I am not trying to hide from you by changing my name. Just wanted something more appropriate for my style of play, like, say, Killer or even Rambo. Are those corny enough for ya?

i need a name change.
aside from the fact that i've been wanting one for a while because my name is stupid, there is a good reason (read on)...when i found this site i didn't know if it would be any good and i wasn't feeling very inventive so i just removed my last name from my email address and used that cos it was easy...i've spent a lot of time here in the last six months and don't think i'm going away any time soon
but the serious reason for a name change is...the other day i googled my CC username...not only did google tell me that someone had once accused me of being a multi/secret alliance but i found that there is someone who actually has my username as their email address (not surprising really)...he has some personal details on google and i think it's inappropriate that i'm using his actual email address as my username...i hate to think what emails he might have been sent from the psychos on this site...so, do i qualify? should i just submit a problem ticket for it?

I imagine - if they do let you change the name - it will be a minor change (i.e. remove the "@xtra.co.nz" bit - unless there's another Geoff around!!

When I first joined I was allowed a name change.Admin changed my name from doggy_sirius to KoE_Sirius...all my game history,rating,rank and ignore list remained the same.

I guess one solution would be to add a 'screen name' to the profile, and use that in games and forums instead of your username... But I've no idea if that is possible?

members should be able to change their names from the control panel anytime they want


Concise description:
you will be able to change your name on the control panel under "manage profile" tab
Specifics:
since members names are used as links only ,the names will change. the links will still lead u to post and ratings and what =ever else these links take you. just the names will be changed

if someone belives they could have thought of a better name then the one they have they can change it

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
some members will be pleased and if people don't like it they dont have to use it

it will help people who dont like their name get a new one

Most sites have a thing where you can only use it once every 3 months or so, to prevent constant name changing if you're a flamer, or have sort of reputation, etc.
