Czecho Slovak Fragmentation [Quenched]

Map Name: Fragmentation of CSFR
Mapmaker(s): Oneyed
Number of Territories: it would be a small map. 34 regions
Special Features: bonuses are based on two republics insude Czecho Slovak Federal Republic - Czech Republic and Slovak Republic
What Makes This Map Worthy of Being Made: history, small map with "not clasic" gameplay

this is map about fragmentation CzechoSlovak federal republic in 1.1.1993.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
here are changes.
- the capitals are +1 autodeploy
- the border of CSFR and border between CR and SR are darker
- I asked Gilligan for helpwith xml

last change:
capitals gain +2 for every 4 towns in the same republic.
Brno is not more neutral.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
what about to change bonus for capitals and 4 towns to +2 instead +1?
when we look at kraj bonus in the slovak republic here is +2 for each. it is 4 territoreis, 3 to secure. in the czech republic kraj bonus is +4 for every 2 kraje. it is 6 territories, 4 to secure. capital with 4 towns it is 5 territories and 5 to secure.
so I have two ideas:
1, make +2 for every 4 towns (in CR/SR) with capital or
2, make capitals +1 autodeploy.

updated legend.

show

the xml updated here is the right one.

I like it, a small map with different gameplay. You could skip some of the rules so the player doesnt have to read all the manual thats attached to it. Highways are mostly redundant because regions already border each other (Zilma can attack Poprad without a highway). Also if you draw a regional border around the capitals you might not have to explain that in the legend.

I will need any help from somebody with better english :)

Zilina can not attack Poprad without highway. Zilina must attack SSK (region) and then attack VSK (region) and only then Porad. highway is more important for Slovakia, because there are only three regions and only two borders - ZSK with SSK and SSK with VSK.

did you just take a map from the internet and put you own graphics over it?

all that small text is really distracting from the map and the font is also not really looking great.

i mean the map itself is acceptable, but i hope you will actually draw something nicer.

What I meant was: the legend is rather big.

You could reduce this by reducing the amount of rules for the game. Or make it more easy to read like this:

You will also have to make clear which regions are Czech end which regions are Slovak.

Is the map image you're using as background free of copyright?

You need to know for 100% sure that there's no copyright on the image, otherwise you cannot use it here.

this is what I know: it is wall map for public usage, anybody could buy it in shop, there is no mention about copyright maybe because it was printed during socialism when nobody cares about copyright.

Well, you need to be sure. That you think "no one cares about the copyright" isn't enough, you need to find out if the map is copyrighted or not. If it's in the public domain, or has a license that allows use for any purpose, then it's ok to use. Otherwise, not.

Second. It would look better though with the addition of textures.

I gotta say I love this map, and I hope you do it!

I gave a little gasp when I saw Beroun on the map; so many happy memories of my childhood! I've never seen Beroun recognised as an objective on any map, in any game whatsoever, in all my many years of wargaming!

You really have to go ahead with it!

The one with the authentic map background is a nice idea, but really sloppy looking. If there was a way to clean it up, it would be nicer.

Is it obvious to everyone where the border between Czechia and Slovakia goes? Should there not be a delineated border between the two?
