This is a singles format of the 2011-12 Barclays Premier League. As this is a singles tournament there will be one player per club, which there are 20 of. All matches will be 1 vs. 1 standard, sequential games; but you can choose whatever settings you want barring that. Sorry, but no freebies as their will be 6 matches per fixture. The season starts on Aug 13 and the last games will be sent out 9 months later on May 13 (could be a little later depending on extreme circumstances). You will have 48 hours to join a game; if you donāt join Iāll give you a prod warning you must join in 24 hours or forfeit the match.
The season will follow the 38 match season of the 2011-12 Barclays Premier League. Matches will be sent out at the same time as the real life matches (the Sunday games will be sent on Saturday). You will get 3 points of a win and 1 for a draw. You normally get 1 game a week but may get 2 and may not get a game (depending on progress of the real life teams in other tournaments). The winner will be the person with the most points at the end of the season. The tiebreaking system will be as follows. 1. Greater number of points in all matches 2. Goal difference in all matches 3. Greater number of goals scored in all matches 4. Greatest number of points in matches between the teams that are still tied 5. Goal difference in matches between teams that are still tied 6. Greatest number of goals scored in matches between teams that are still tied 7. Away goals scored in matches between teams that are still tied 8. A decider match on Classic Map, Standard, Auto, Sequential, Escalating, Unlimited, Sunny 9. If there is a draw in this match after 90 minutes (6 rounds) we will go to extra time another 30 minutes (2 rounds) 10. After this we will go to penalties (5 penalties each (10 maps) and then sudden death)
The matches will work as follows. I will send 6 matches under the home teams settings. The scoring will work as follows. PLEASE NOTE: This is VERY different to other sports league tournaments. When I have 20 players I will look at everybodyās settings and go through the game finder to find exact matches that have finished. I will then see how many games were won in 1 round; 2 rounds; 3 rounds etc. I will then wait to you finish your match. If you win by beating or equalling 100% of the previous results you will receive 100 points and the loser will receive 0. If you win by beating or equalling 21% or less of the previous results both teams will receive 4 points. If a team scores 60 points in one match they score 1 goal. If they score 120 points they score 2 goals etc. The maximum score is 600 so that equates to 10 goals. NB: I will only take the first 1000 results from the Game Finder as I do have a life suprisingly and don't fancy updating my spreadsheet up to 10,000 odd results for very little gain.
EXAMPLE: For example say you play on Classic, Automatic, Nuclear, Unlimited, Foggy, Games. If 80% of games were won in 7 rounds or more. If you were to win 7 rounds you have beaten or tied 80% of the previous results so I look at my table and the winner would receive 64 points and the loser 4. For every 60 points you score it is 'converted' to a goal.
In the table shows the winners points on the left and the losers points on the right for each home team's settings
