show: Cold War Brief
For those who dont know the Cold War, was a war "fought" mainly between the USA(and its allies in the west) and the USSR(and its allies in the east), emerging powers after the second world war. This was a war of ideologies and spheres of influence, the democratic west vs. the communist east. Although no major conflicts were fought between the two superpowers, the Cold War was no without its action and suspense. The Berlin Blockade, The Cuban Missile Crisis, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, The Space Race and the Nuclear Arms Race ending in the climactic tear down of the Berlin Wall and the break up of the USSR.
Now for those how stuck it out through that brief history lesson, I will get to the details of the tournament.
