what about the same color as the background around maps when you are playing them, then it wont be a block of gray on the white with a slight hint of puke greenpaulk wrote:I can do a poll when the current poll is over.
But I have tried a lot of different backgrounds and the only thing that works is a grey one.

that's the way, nice one on the background compromise.
Best of both worlds. Keeps its setting, gives it a theme, and you can still figure it out.
(p.s. - i think i missed the explanation on the "yellow ball" which gives the extra +1 - the E,F,G,H yellow is the closest to my mind at the moment. Could you save us the trouble of searching back through the thread and explain - also if i'm not comlpetley witless and it actually isn't that obvious, maybe you should make it a little clearer on the map)

may i suggest that rather than having teh bonuses set as squares could you make then all cubes like hte center yellow one? I think this would make the bonuses easier to identify and more realisitict to hold, but then again it would turn this map more symetrical.
I genereally feel that this concept still needs to be a little more tidy.

What do you know about map making, bitch?

The yellow balls, uh-oh...
Seem to have missed coloring the middle balls in this latest version. I will fix it pronto!

Great concept.
To achieve http://steve.hollasch.net/thesis/images/fig45a.gif you would just need to bend/curve it.
