Close game so far with Detroit, despite the massive amounts of injuries, they're still pretty damn good. GB is struggling to maintain a lead, but it's only by a field goal.

I was going really well in the massive pickem league, but starting falling behind the last 3 weeks and had to make some big upset picks this week as a hail mary and GB was one of them. What a call from Cambell to run the ball on 4th and inches, and it almost turned into a disaster when Goff tripped. Excellent game, was really fun to watch that unfold.

Well this week was a rollercoaster
The rams and 9ers game was probably the most boring game I've ever watched. No touchdowns, all field goals. De'vondre Campbell walks out in the 3rd quarter. Career suicide if I've ever seen it.
Caught the Bills and Lions game last night. Alot of holding calls on the Lions probably cost them the game. That or the onside kick at 11/12ish minutes. When you have to announce the onside kick, it's hard to say the benefits outweigh the negatives. But coming back from 14-35 is pretty damn impressive when you're missing everyone. Least they clinched a playoff spot. Hope they get a superbowl ring.
That and now Goff and Burrow can share the spotlight of losing a game with insane stats.

Oh and the cowboys losing from a muffed punt in the 4th Q was just hilarious. Idk how you can block a punt then give it back to the team that late in the game, but that's just embarrassing.

Great Game last night: Washington Commanders, with a rookie QB, Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels, beat the Atlanta Falcons, now led by rookie QB Michael Penix, Jr. This was the second start for Penix, who replaced former Redskins (and Minnesota and Mich. State) QB Cousins. (The Commanders used to be called the Redskins; that name fell to "woke" politics.) btw: Penix was #2 in the Heisman voting in 2023. With Caleb Williams and Bo Nix (and Drake Maye and J.J. McCarthy), 2023 had several good QBs move on to the NFL in 2024.
I had not seen Daniels play in the NFL until last night and he did well, as he did all season as well as his senior college year at LSU.
Commanders won in OT, 30-24, as the Commanders won the coin toss and never gave the Falcons the ball and a chance to win. This is one of the real problems with the NFL Overtime situation: the coin toss is often the most important decision in OT. The Chiefs had a similar OT win a few weeks ago; won the toss and won the game, with Mahomes being the "Magician" he usually is.

I enjoyed watching Joe Burrow and the Bengals TRY to get into the playoffs with their win over the Steelers. Unfortunately, they did NOT as Denver beat the Chiefs. The "Chefs" had nothing really to play for so they rested their starters for that game, #17.
I missed the Lions vs. the Vikings, but it looks like that Lions dominated. Part of my day Sunday was in storm prep mode; we are expecting Snow AND ICE in Central VA, 3-5 inches of snow, plus the ice and sleet and possible freezing rain, THE WORST.

In his defense he is now the 5th best performing bears QB of all time, as they are by far the worst franchise for QB's ever. They are the only franchise to never have a 4000 yard QB.
