I've been getting my guide PM an hour after the new player joins : by then he/she is opften gone...I can see them on global chat but had shut that off.... perhaps the guide pm's could go out instantly?... and we should keep global chat open

I wonder if the guide games should be a doubles team game or something? I know that one of the ones I guided, he was dropped into a game against a general, a colonel, and a major. For someone just learning.... well, they are going to get destroyed. Everytime. That's not very fun for a beginner. Maybe if there was a team option it could help? Not sure, just throwing it out there.

I can't spare a spot for guide games as a freemium with multiple tournaments going on right now. I heard a rumor in Global Chat that guide games don't take up game spots on freemium accounts. Is this true?

This should be true, however it has not been tested to work. If you want to join a game from an invite, or even better join SuperGuides, we will find out quickly enough... if there is is any problem with it I will fix it. This is a great way for freemiums to get extra games while helping the site at the same time.

I just tried to join a guide game request from a global chat post and got the response "Request 2956: You are already playing 4 games - please upgrade to Premium Membership to remove this limitation." You can still keep me on the list, though. I just may not be much help until one of my tourneys finishes.

I think the freemium extra guide game slot fix is working. I had 4 games going and still got into a guide game. Thanks for figuring that out and fixing it!

Just so we're clear, the change only allows freemiums to join guide games if their 4 spots are filled. But, once joined, the guides games will still count toward the freemiums 4 spots.

No, these games should not affect any regular aspect of joining games. Let me know if otherwise.

I had 4 regular (non-guide) games going and then joined two guide games. I then finished a regular (non-guide) game, but upon trying to start another regular (non-guide) game, was given the error message that I could not because I already had four games going (3 regulars, 2 guides). I have finished a guide game since, but have to make sure to get some tournament games in, I will retry later in the week and let you know how it goes.
