Focus on your gameplay man, you've got a decent start, I'm from just across the river, and have a good understanding of Jersey.
I wouldn't mind seeing a unique hook of the the dreaded New Jersey round-a-bouts worked into gameplay... lol
Regional names shouldn't be too hard to figure out. This should be a a decent place to start.

Couple things for me for you to change:
Wildwood is further south, you know that.... change that territory to Ocean City or Sea Isle City
Gameplay wise I think you really need to breakup these rather large bonuses. North Jersey isn't too bad, but you can really rearrange South Jersey for better gameplay. Break off AC, Wildwood, Cape May and Vineland into a bonus probably just a +1 Burlington and the rest of central Jersey can become a new bonus at +2 or 3 and the rest of Southeast Jersey becomes a new bonus at likely +2 or 3.
Of course then being in north Jersey is gonna be hard to win a game.... you may have to think about combining a few of those smaller territories and bring down some of those values.

rivers looks good but the black bold lines between countries are too eye-catching, try a 2 pix line without disturbance, perhaps with an outer glow
as redbaron points, I also believe that you can split the southwest more up to some minor bonuses
I look forward to playing New Jersey

Well this is indeed well along it's way. I'm going to go ahead and sticky this.
If you got sumptin to say about Jersey? If you got a problem with this map? You best bring it up soon, you know what I'm sayin?

denville is way north of morristown, and madison may be as well. so to a NJ native it looks odd, though I undertsnad regions if you are naming them based on real cities cannot be perfect.
if you are sticking with real names i believe it is egg harbor not eggs
also, may i suggest splitting long branch into two...a bay coast and a sea coast (not naming them that just saying how the split should be).
looking good though, liking it.

Just a random thought from a South Jersey native. Mt. Holly is north of Mt. Laurel. I'd call the south/east half of Burlington County "Pine Barrens" maybe or for a town actually down there (Tabernacle? Shamong?).
Re: New Jersey [14-Oct-2011] [p6]
Like the colour scheme. Try to avoid getting red in there. Would totally mess things up. Thumbs up it looks much better than the last time I had a look at it.
Re: New Jersey [14-Oct-2011] [p6]
The "+" on +1 Autodeploy on Trenton is WAY too small. Cheat that one alone and make it a bigger font size.
On the graphical front, the rivers are EXTREMELY flat, as well as the bridges. Considering the nice gradient you have for the ocean and the relative "pop" of the mountains and trees, it's a tad jarring.

switched a few names around as the correct "pain in my ass" suggested.. anything else need fixed about game play?TaCktiX wrote:The "+" on +1 Autodeploy on Trenton is WAY too small. Cheat that one alone and make it a bigger font size.

Thing that is concerning me gameplay wise here is the tapered center of the state creates a bottleneck that can allow for a person to hold a +13 bonus in South Jersey or a +11 bonus in North Jersey by defending just 3 territories.
Being in the center of the state is gonna be like being in the DMZ... AN additional path through Penn. and/or down the coast (intra-coastal waterway?) will go a long way to balancing out the map.
The legend is taking up a TON of room, and most of it is blank space, somewhat center the map a bit more, cut out chunks on Penn. and Delaware and shrink down the mini-map and the compass rose. Utilize some more of this space!

You should make a connection to New York. This New York territory would be able to bombard every territory on the map.
Why? Because New York is just better.
Kidding, guys. This has made some huge improvements. Nice job.

thejersey shore should be represented as its own territories ( adding 4 or 5 terts onlong the east coast would allow for easier movement from north to south and give an alternative to the bottleneck in the middle..instead of seaside being this huge territory representing seaside heights as the coastal community , and changing seasideheights tert into lancaster or manchester is just an example of how to add ...

Re: New Jersey [22-Sept-2011] [p6]
You could add the Somerville circle. It would give you access you to several bonus regions, but holding it gives you -1 troops.RedBaron0 wrote:Focus on your gameplay man, you've got a decent start, I'm from just across the river, and have a good understanding of Jersey.I wouldn't mind seeing a unique hook of the the dreaded New Jersey round-a-bouts worked into gameplay... lol
