Actually, I've already made an album at xi. lol...and yes, those pictures are of me...Thanks, I'm definitely considering studying journalism. This year has been good practice because I was on both the yearbook and literary magazine staff. This was my school's first attempt at a literary magazine, and I pretty much took the entire job on myself as the managing editor. I chose, typed, formatted, and edited every page of the book and last year I was the show coordinator of Teen Scene (a tv show for teens, by teens...that's the motto, lol.)Patroclus wrote:I'mInCahoots: You should post all your pictures in an album over at xi. You are truely lovely (if that is really you as Scarus brought up) and very intelligent. Wishing you all the best in your further studies. May I suggest at least a Minor in Journalism and you'd be in place for a TV spot if you spoke in real time as well as you write in Conquer Club?

indeed, I am...SMITH197 wrote:well well, you're a go getter aren't you?
Do you partake in any school sports cahoots?
My first three years of high school I was on my school's softball team, but when I moved back to Arkansas (from Louisiana) I was forced to get a job, instead of play. When I played, I was always playing either center or left field...what about you?

Sorry, Hoots, it's playoff time, and springtime (i.e. fields drying up so can run around on them with frisbees and soccer balls) all at once up here, so please excuse the jubilance...
I was editor-in-chief of my school's literary magazine too, but I don't really see how I can turn that into a topic of conversation. Like, was the content editing done blind?

hmmmmm
Ultimate Frisbee is a sport?.....lol
Do you hit the gym to improve your conditioning before your big matches...lol
How could that be a sport when almost any dog is better than the best person...lol
I'll give hockey it's due. Are they actually playing games this season?....lol
LAKERS! LAKERS! LAKERS! Ok, I realize they really aren't going anywhere this season, but I always have the Clippers to fall back on...lol

Wicked, if the team is named after whatever you get slammed by, shouldn't the name be changed to the Canadiens after tonight?
yeah, gouvernercc is my rl friend. We both run and in turn, play frisbee together.

"Did you fortify New Guinea or are you just happy to see me?"
my poor poor Canes....sigh. double overtime?
good thing it was blacked out here; I wouldn't have wanted to stay up to see that! actually I don't really follow hockey until the playoffs...LOL. apparently the caniacs peaked during the season? yes, maybe we should change our name... I've never minded getting slammed by a good Canadien...LOL.
My dog loves to break up ultimate frisbee matches.. she's also a great soccer goalie.

Popular misconception, Scarus. While dogs are often excellent catchers, their throwing skills are often sub-par, with almost no forehand.Scarus wrote:How could that be a sport when almost any dog is better than the best person...lol
There was one dog I saw who had a decent flick, but could never learn to run a proper stack.
For our friend Smith
Just wondering if Smithy had seen, or knew about, the movie Hostel.
Just in case, here's a plot summary:
Hostel (2006)
Two adventurous American college buddies, Paxton and Josh, backpack through Europe eager to make quintessentially hazy travel memories with new friend Oli, an Icelander they've met along the way. Paxton and Josh are eventually lured by a fellow traveler to what's described as a nirvana for American backpackers--a particular hostel in an out-of-the-way Slovakian town stocked with Eastern European women as desperate as they are gorgeous. The two friends arrive and soon easily pair off with exotic beauties Natalya and Svetlana. In fact, too easily. Initially distracted by the good time they're having, the two Americans quickly find themselves trapped in an increasingly sinister situation that they will discover is as wide and as deep as the darkest, sickest recess of human nature itself--if they survive.
Smith, pay particular attention to this part:
MPAA Rating: R for brutal scenes of torture and violence, strong sexual content, language and drug use.
Just thought it was something that I should call to your attention before you made any travel plans to either Arkansas, or Connecticut........lol

Ultimate is fun, but I didn't start playing it until I went to college. In HS I used to play soccer, Swim, and Run track. Now I play basketball for my church league and that is about it.
Sports are great, but I don't have much time for them anymore since I graduated College.
My fav is still basketball. I'm too out of shape now though.... I get out of breath after running up and down the court a few times....lol....
I guess that is what I get for having a desk job.

Sorry Patroclus, was kind of an inside joke, a cross reference to the thread "New Girl", and previous posts on this thread. Seems that our friend Smith has become quite the ladies man....lol

damn skippy

"Did you fortify New Guinea or are you just happy to see me?"
That thread is very wierd... Ultimate is fun... but around college it gets rediculously competitive, I play rarely, and only with friends, and I suck a lot so only with non-competitive friends, though it is fun to laugh at the people who take it too seriously.

No one is coming to Arkansas...I'd hate to have to reveal my true appearance, as I am still doubted by some of you...lol.
All that I said in that thread was mostly jokes and cross references from other threads...and especially with Smithy being so lonely and all (Sat. night thread), I thought I'd cheer him up a bit (as if he needs it...) lol.
So,
to Scarus...I only torture old guys from Brazil, anyways...
