Okay, lecture's over - time for some Feedback!
Alagaesia from Eragon-Eldest!
We could make a map of Alagaesia from Eragon/Eldest.
I don't know if this has been suggested before. I may have posted this already. How about a map from George Orwell's "1984". He never actually designed a map, so there wouldn't be any copyrights.
For an idea about how the map looks go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty_Four
or read the book!
We could use Oceania, Eastasia, Eurasia and the disputed zones as "super continents" (like in world 2.0) and maybe divide them in to sub-continents.
Britain could be called "Airstrip 1"

Just because he didn't design the map, doesn't mean there's no copyright protecting it.Nukora wrote:I don't know if this has been suggested before. I may have posted this already. How about a map from George Orwell's "1984". He never actually designed a map, so there wouldn't be any copyrights.

No but my idea of the periodic table was toGreecePwns wrote:i think a periodic table would be very good for a 6-player game, but not so good for less because there are so many territories.onbekende wrote:Something like this?
A. Ditch those two bottom rows that 'stick out'
B. Make Technetium And all of those Unununiums (or whatever) a continent as none of them are found in nature.
C. Make mercury and bromium (sp) one continent as they are the only two liquids.

Periodic table is already being done. That thread is more recent I believe.

Not 100% if it's been suggested before or not (apologies if it has), but how about the provinces of ancient Japan?
Linky to a large map here.
I know that if you were to take all of the old provinces that is a lot of regions, but if you were to take somewhere between this and the overview map from Shogun: Total War, it could end up nicely playable.

How about a Tetris-like map?
Kinda like this image (link), except designed as if no lines have been taken, i.e. each colored piece is still intact with exactly four squares. Each captured piece could be worth one army.

Wikipedia "World in" Maps
Wikipedia just put out a series of world maps showing the "political"/social control of the world by era, i.e. World in 2000 BCE, World in 500 BCE, etc. Might have some potential...

How about a Eurasia map?
The continents could be: Western Europe, central Europe, eastern Europe, Northern Europe.
Russia, Middle East, Eastern Asia, South-East Asia, and probably South Asia.
Just an idea. But I think it would be cool. It would be a big map with lots of countries, but it would still be fun.
Also someone needs to do a map of the Americas.
