It's like Christianity and Judaeism.
Christians = Jesus is son of god
Jews = Jesus was never the messiah and just some ordinary prophet.
That is THE ONLY difference (as far as I can tell) between the two, AND YET THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT RELIGIONS. Seriously, I just cannot unterstand the logic of religious people at all.

well yes looking at it that way it is simple but each religion views there that same god in a different light and believe and worship in different ways. Muslims also worship the same god Muhammad was told by god that Christianity and Judaism had it wrong. But each view different things as acceptable compared with other things.
