overall it looks cool and should be playable:

constuctive criticism:

bonuses:
west oz has 7 territories, bonus of 3 (i think it should be 4?)
north oz has 4 territories, bonus of 4 (should be 3?)
new south wales has 5 territories, bonus of 4 (should be 3?)

- I dont like the comic sans font

- the colours are a bit dark

- south queensland looks a bit bunched up, don't know if there's much you can do about it though?

- I'd like to see a few stereotypical graphics: uluru; sydney harbour bridge; koalas, aussie beer!

I'm also interested in creating an Australian map, it would be completely different to this one. However, before I start, I want to know if it's worthwhile or even just rude to do so.

its not really that rude, but its definately not worthwile, unless you put some kind of spin on it like USA / USApocalypse

It's the same climate as in the midwest USA. I can speak for him and say that you do not die of frostbite. you just live in a really warm place! but right now hobart is only eight degrees cooler than brisbane. although it sounds like nice weather in brisbane, i have to admit.... weather.com

I personally dont like it. I think QLD should not be split into 2 continents & as for NSW, VIC & TAS they should not be 1. NSW should be 1 and TAS & VIC should be together. QLD only needs to be 1 continent & I dont think the territories have been done overly well. It has taken nothing "real" into account. EG borders. Things like mountains and rivers should be used. Not imaginary lines. The Great dividing range & the murray river make good boundries. I think more research needs to be done to make this map alot better.

I disagree. Canberra is a hole and home to spawns of satan; we should pretend it doesn't exist.

Lol does not matter if you think Canberra is a hole or not it is still part of Australia an a very big part of Australia and as for your other comment about where you have lived who cares not me and if you are going to make the map the way it is i think many Australian's would not play it because geologically it looks bad.

West Australia should be four, has one less connection, but four more territories than the orange, remember that, that is 9 more armies to clear out which will result in the dying of like 5 troops at least.

Also, north queenland should be given a bonus of 1, so people don't go for it. I don't want another "australia" hee hee.
But seriously, make it one, it'll still be a fine country.
Or if you really want it at 2, connect it to orange or somethin also.
