In the British Museum they have a wonderful example of an Islamic Katar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katar) but the handle is spring loaded so that, upon triggering the mechanisim, the original blade parts and a smaller blade thrusts forward. Think of the (slightly needless) damage that would do to your gut...

I have to agree, but it still somewhat annoys me that when I went to a Seventh Day Adventist school, every time we watched a Christian movie with Jesus in it, Jesus was always white..

Seven-Day Adventists have always been weird, but not as weird as Mormons or Jovies. My friends, who are Southern Baptists, acknowledge that Jesus wasn't necessarily white.
