All invitees have arrived. And An invitation was accepted.
However, If a late stranger still turns up before the clock strikes seven tonight the Mulligatawny soup will be served twisted.

A twisted combover would cover more of your scalp Dev.
Maybe a skilled hairstylist will be an 11th guest?

Re: House vs Circle at Blackpool Manor
If you saw a figure on the stairs, or a door close by itself, or a glass refill when no one was near it, that was the drink.
The house has been very generous with the gin and the scotch. But spirits are not on the menu. Alcohol is.
This is a murder dinner.
Somewhere among you, the Circle has already chosen its own. They do not announce themselves. They meet where its dark, and they decide who else may sit with them. Only the best of the Circle will still be standing when the house is absolute quiet again.
The Circle does not survive by being liked. It survives by not being found.
The gates will close under 1 hour. If you are House and you want to run away, the time is now.

Re: House vs Circle at Blackpool Manor
Terribly sorry, this is poor form on my part, but I have a dear friend visiting and I'm not certain I'll have the time for getting ritualistically murdered this week. I wish you all the best, looked like a delightful spread you prepared, but I must be going!
Re: House vs Circle at Blackpool Manor
Gates are closed! And Kongming (House) is the first course!

Can't tell if this is part of the game or not or if he's actually gone. And what the hell you're serving us as dinner now
Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
In the meantime: A stranger was found drifting in the gardens. Asking for dinner. Seems he got in just in time before the gates closed.
When asked for his name, he just mumbled " Im a Zulu Warrior".

The official ledger has the gentleman marked as souped. I doubt he shall return... to anywhere, ever again.Devante wrote: Sat Oct 17, 2026 2:17 pm Can't tell if this is part of the game or not or if he's actually gone. And what the hell you're serving us as dinner now
A gracious welcome to Zulu Warrior! It strikes me as poorly put to describe this rarified guest as a "stranger" "drifting" in the gardens. Who here among us has not spent an hour or six amidst the hedges? My grandmother always said, "never ask a man what he does in the gardens."
I do find myself somewhat troubled by this evening being characterized as a "murder dinner."
Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
Another stranger turned up amidst the hedges...
She claimed to be "katyssis".
Receiving a double portion of Mulligatawny soup.
It also seems that some soup plates got mixed up..

Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
The aperitif moment is over!
(The aperitif moment during a chic dinner forms the crucial introduction to the evening: it stimulates the appetite (aperire means 'to open' - mostly bottles) and immediately sets the tone for a luxurious, gastronomic experience. In fine dining etiquette, this is the ultimate moment to welcome guests, serve the first amuse-bouches, serving drinks, all to relax the atmosphere before heading to the table.)
And now The Dinner has started!
(The gates are close and the garden, including the hedges, checked twice!)

As the game needs 2 Circle members at the start and KongMing got souped... Kong, by default, died as House.
Some of you have received new cards to reshuffle the Kong Soup situation.

It must have been tempting for any Patron who wasn't called Hot Bunny to choose a Secretary called Hot Bunny.
I elaborated on Dev sitting between Annie and Bunny and added a Feline Glint feeler at Bunny at 3.52am
Annie joke responded at 11.16am adding her 5th husband
I appeared to have moved on from the feeler on Bunny by asking about circumstances of Annies previous husbands at 12.02pm
Bunny joined in the flavour maybe having been thinking she needed to as well as wanted to but didn't want to add any suspicions to herself at 2.04pm
I'm a little bit suspicious of Bunny.

I think you should start off by thinking this is very much like the TV show traitors - so maybe take a look at that to get yourself into the feel.
I think this particular mafia game set up is actually the most like the TV show that I've played in.
The Circle Guys can recruit up to 3 and keep recruiting up to 3 for so long as the Patron isn't lynched.
The House Guys have to rely on Social Deduction to try to get the Patron most importantly and then the other recruits.
The archivist IF NOT recruited as the secretary can also help to get firm evidence on the Circle but I don't think House can bank on that so should assume social deduction is all they have.
At the moment my interpretation is that the Patron knows who the Secretary is but not the other way around - that changes after the first course/vote.
I'm not sure if a third recruit to the circle will ever know for sure who the Patron and Secretary are.
Unlike the Traitors we don't have to lynch if we don't want to or cannot reach a majority.
Best thing to do is post as much as you can on whatever you think to give and encourage others to give as much as possible to let social deduction stand its best chance.

Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
Being a latecomer, I am totally confused as to the situation I am now in. I understand I am nothing but a House guy (probably?) and have to work with unidentifiable people, or at least at the moment. Thanks to the chef for the amuse-bouches, but what happens now before the starter arrives? By the way, I do like copious amounts of red wine, but tend to talk jibberish after my first bottle.
. I will just sit here with my hands on my knees until something happens that I understand, before I post again.
Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
Given the lack of reassurance that there is no bouche in les amuses-bouches, I will stick to my entire decanter of whiskey.
ZW, you shall find greater detail in the sign up thread, including roles and procedures.
Devante speaks truly, his child has reached the acme of hat trick excellence. Though I must point out, he overly inebriated for one seated on the empty glass side of the table.
My vote is for whoever insisted upon soup forks.

Oh Annie, thats funny but you can't hide behind humour all the time.
Someone surely must have aroused your suspicions more than others whilst we mingled?

The fateful day of dear Giles' final foray into the forest, he was never intending to call the Viceroy. It was only in light of Kingm's unexplained absence that he became so desperate as to call that ghoul.
A wound was written on my heart that day and if someone must be ousted, let it be the man who already has one foot out the door.
Perhaps the whiskey, gin, devil's lettuce, and laudanum has made my tongue too loose.

*Bunny
feeling a bit high and drunk looks at her soup, and around the table… looking a little surprised at what shes gotten into*
So you really put Kong in the soup um hm I think I ll just have some crackers for now
.
I for one am not looking towards being a meal myself. Im house Loose, although it is possible you know that already, what exactly did I say to draw your eye. Hjelp has been pretty quiet for some one who is so talkative and King M strategically being absent early on is also questionable
..
Of course the new comers are well new and we know nearly nothing about them. Welcome newcomers and good luck not becoming food
or making it if thats truly your scene.
*Bunny goes back to breaking crackers into her soup swirling them around and then eating the crackers intermittently. Shes done this so much the soup has become more like a paste and crumbs have begun to gather around her plates. Cleary gaining the attention of those around her especially including LC*

Its that ever since dev made his humorous hello future wives play, i think bunny you have tended to wait for annie to make a post first before you have.
So im suspicious of you bunny for blending in behind annie

Re: Blackpool Manor Dinner: Kong Mulligatawny Ming soup - first course (D1)
OK, thanks for your insight loose but that’s incorrect. Since this is a new game, one thing I’m wondering is how vanilla is it? And I can’t be the only one thinking this. It would be great to hear from some other voices, though as well. And for the new people in a game like this, some people might have powers that give them an advantage during the night phase. Additionally, there should be some consideration as to whether the Circle has Powers or not.
and Zulu what we do now is basically try to accuse each other of being the circle. And we can vote at any time on who we think is circle. Right now mostly we’re just putting out suspicions. As the game goes on sonic will give us a vote count occasionally. It might help to read the previous mafia game or at least portions of it to give you an idea. I believe it takes six votes right now to get someone out.
