To me Blitz is the best player, (and nothing against blitz) but I constantly see xMBKx play with noobs and middle ranked guys like me. He is in it to have fun. Nothing else. And loves to teach players how to become better players.

Blitz taught me everything I know just about and he started playing with me when I had only 1200 points.....

good points fitz. i'm not sure feedback played into it. i think decolombe just compiled a list based on nominations from his other thread. i assume after this poll he will move down to the next 10 or 11 in his big alphabetical list, then a final poll will come out w/ the top 2 or so from each vote.

i certainly agree that it is difficult to choose among all the players, since so many people either play dubs, trips, or singles. as i've said, mm17 is the best singles player imo. but i also think this should be about the best all-around. that essentially excludes mm17, simply b/c he doesn't play team games very often. maybe he would be superb at them, but i have a hard time believing he would be consistently better than folks that constantly play team games. this perspective also blunts your argument about winning percentage, imo. we've gotta look at overall play on all styles


now to defend my choice: i voted wain b/c i think he is close mm17's skill in singles and i think he is the best in team games. i've learned a lot from him. he almost never makes mistakes. i just look around at all the players who play all styles and take my subjective opinion--wain is the best. it's certainly up for debate. i think it should be noted that you are 1-1 vs LazLong, but only 3-8 vs Wain. so while you admit you are more scared of Laz, the stats don't really back you up (too small a sample vs Laz, of course). i should also note that i've never played laz, so i can't compare them.

im pretty sure laz has beat me more than that...but i was only talking about no cards...which, I have actually found myself doing better at than anything else lately...but I digress...im not knocking wain not at all, my experience has been limited, and maybe its just the one game im in, I cant figure out what hes doing thats skewing my judgement...but Ill play some more with him...you are certainly an awesome player, and i didnt mean to discount your vote...it could indeed be true

Except for one notable exception (*cough*JR*cough*), the humility of the top players always amazes me. As long as you veer away from Flame Wars, CC is a really wonderful place isn't it.

I hadn't planned on posting a second poll, unless anybody is interested. Unfortunately, I couldn't post everyone's names on the list, (which was a real bummer) and is why I posted "other" at the end. If I ever do this again, I'll post the most popular nominees at the end, and finish with a something like a tournament. Any other suggestions, please post or PM me.

Glad to see that scott made the list. He's a good player and deserves to be on there. You did forget robinette and scorba, however I voted for mm17; he's just so damned good. Poomaker, kid-A, and nietze are great players also.

As far as the others are concerned then I would like to see Jonnyrocket play an individual game as he tends to only play with high ranking other players in triples games. I'm not saying he isn't good, far from it, but there is always that saftey net of 2 experienced players with him as well to cover.

It would also been interesting to see what Blitz was like if he didn't abuse the system and only play Newbies and team up with low ranked players so he can boss them about and get more points.

All things considered, i don;t see the point of this Poll as we have a perfectly good scoreboard and I would hazard a guess that the best player resides at the top of that list.

Jork is a nice guy. I just found it odd that he used Jorks playing performance for in favor for him, but the same logic of performance was mentioned agaisnt me. but you are right, he has the right to his opinion.

I would also like to say that if you are considering the best all around player in cc, every map, every style, teams, singles, flat rate, chained, adjacent, unlimited forts, no cards, all maps, all styles, well I want to thank any and all who voted for me, much appreciated and respect you all.

also, some others who are just as deserving if not more so are osujacket, maniacmath, david wain and scorba based on my experiences, these 4 can play all styles and variety of anything and all and jr could be mentioned as well, all very verstile and multi-faceted and talented with diversity not just one game style:!: just my 2 pennies

Believe it or not, but I do not research other players results or game history, but only make observations from what I see of them in games, and from what I've witnessed, you only seem to play with high ranked other players in triples games, however I am more than happy to play you in a 1 on 1 game for you to prove me worng. Are you up for the challenge?

If me having an opinion bothers you, then I sincierely apologise and if it makes you feel better then you are wihout doubt the bestest ever player in the world of any online risk game.

The players were chosen based upon thier popularity in my last poll (See http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... highlight=) Since I couldn't place all of them on a single poll, I placed the ten most popular discussed nominations on the list. If I ever do this again, I plan to start a post to make nominations and then have a poll.

Also remember no flaming is allowed in this post. I sense heating tension among some of the players. Although I think no one meant any harm, remember what you write may have an impact on other people. (IE> EAXAMPLE ONLY: if you say I don't play enough single games thats one thing, but If you say I'm abusing the system, to some people it may feel like a personal attack.)

reread the thread. i dint write that. Blitz edited the post which is why it was in blue. I just questioned your thought process on why you would chose Jork with his triples games but state you dint vote for me because of my triples games when he plays 100% to my 45%. everyone has their on beliefs and logics. Jork is a good player. hes been at the top for awhile now.
