Thats really annoyed me as well, although he is supposed to be mentioning Dont Ask Dont Tell tonight and trying to get it repealed before the midterms.

Much as the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy sucks ass...if he DOES get it repealed, he better have a replacement for it (preferably the ability for the services to actually recruit openly-homosexual individuals). If he doesn't have a replacement for it, that will be a very bad thing.

Well yeah I think everyone here (except for Hapsmo) thinks the military should get openly gay personel.

I read somewhere that even a majority of people who define themselves an conservatives now support gays in the military. I honestly don't see anyones problem with it, dozens of countries already do it without any of the scaremongering stories coming true.

1. The bailouts Obama's being blamed for were W initiatives, signed in late '08 just before the elections. Obama said then it was unlikely to work, but W signed them into law.
2. The Afghanistan campaign he said all along we had to up, because W sent our main forces into the wrong country.
3. Troops in Iraq are needed because those people are so angry at us for W sending our troops into the wrong country; now that we've caused chaos there, it would be dumb to simply pull out rather than try to figure a way to PEACEFULLY pull out.
4. Economy went to sh*t on W's watch, Obama said all along it would take years to recover, but some of the recovery has started because of OBAMA initiatives.
5. Health care. Obama NEVER said he wanted a socialist system of healthcare, he simply said he wanted CONGRESS to find a way to give health care to all Americans because we spend more of our gnp on healthcare and have one of the unhealthiest nations as a whole.
6. Apologies to other nations because W and co. engaged in tactics outside the treaties we've signed; tactics that we've prosecuted other dictators for engaging in. Good for you; if an apology keeps the US out of criminal war court, good for YOU.
7. Rule of law: Much as I don't want terrorists to have the benefit of our laws, that IS what our Constitution outlines. It sucks. I'd like to see all rapists and molesters castrated, all murderers beheaded, and all terrorists torn apart starting with finger and toenails; unfortunately, that's not how our Constitution - which Obama was elected to uphold - outlines. So, good for you for upholding the laws as written.

This poster is either completely misinformed or is in a serious state of denial. Bush's bailout was Bush's bailout. Obama's bailout is Obama's bailout.(And I think he has 2 of them) Obama bailed out the auto industry, has NOTHING to do with Bush. Because the Bush tax cuts never made the necessary changes to to the budget to make them accountable. They kept spending the same and reduced taxes = deficit. I am no expert on the Californian budget, but I'm guessing they increased spending faster then they increased taxes, that normally leads to deficits.
