Re: Chuck Mafia, Day Five
I'm starting to feel really well rested by now.

Re: Chuck Mafia, Night Five
Not as rested as the half of the players who aren't waking up to send in actions.
Chuck Mafia, Night Five
perhaps a prod is in order? or a deadline, much as I want town ready for tomorrow.
Re: Chuck Mafia, Night Five
alright, it's been eight days, there are eleven people alive, so I'll make the deadline three days at the most, also prodding....
Re: Chuck Mafia, Night Five
Announcement
I know you all are sick of long nights, and there really aren't too many players to count anymore, so starting the following night if applicable all night phases will last four real time days.

Night Five Scene
Devon "Captain Awesome" Woodcomb was finally stepping out to protect his loved one's, he suspected the last of the killers still was present, so he followed his fiance's movements closely, thinking she would be a target. A familiar man in black is spotted and much action does happen, Devon follows the man but loses sight. Suddenly his pager goes off, he snaps back to reality, ready to resume work, the cardiovascular surgeon enters his patient's room to find out the problem. The man complains of recent chest pains, but as the doctor goes to assist him he is assaulted himself, bludgeoned to death by the Carnivore and hidden in a closet.
william18, Dr. Devon Woodcomb, bodyguard has been killed.
With ten alive it takes 6 to lynch
Day Six Begins

Very good question, think I'll hold off with my vote until there is more than a random accusation out there.LSU Tiger Josh wrote:previous investigations?
My role didn't change btw.

Thanks for your meaningful contribution, icedagger. My instinct was to take up another sacchrine poison pen, but he supposedly won't read it until Tuesday, so why inflict it on you guys?icedagger wrote:Sam is scum. I'm away until tuesday
This makes five [investigators]: three claimed and two revealed. Granted, LSU and Talapus aren't really cops, but that seems a bit much, even in a cult game. Icedagger's almost baseless accusation doesn't lend much weight to his claim. I'll reread his posts and votes before voting for him, at least.
Fircoal, it would be badass if you had watched william18 (or even icedagger) last night, but I won't hold my breath.
As ettiquite demands: / did not send me a pm last night.

Anyways the only thing I'm finding harder to stomach than the horrible inactivity, is that after three days of inactivity this thread is still near the top of the board. Deadline soon if activity stays flat.

Re: Chuck Mafia, Day Six
The inactivity comes from icedagger's stupid accusation just before he left for 5 days. It will pick up tomorrow one way or the other./ wrote:Anyways the only thing I'm finding harder to stomach than the horrible inactivity, is that after three days of inactivity this thread is still near the top of the board. I'm back- was hiking in the lake district. Sorry about sort of kiling the game until I returned.
Previous investigation results were all innocent except for pmc, who I investigated on the same night as LSU targeted him.
With so many fulcrum dead already it can hardly be lynch or lose, so I don't see what motivation I could possibly have for this being a fake claim

To believe you I need more than these abbreviations icedagger. Who did you examine each night? Only examining dead people doesn't carry the weight of perhaps one or more of us. Don't forget, you are as much under suspicion as sam.icedagger wrote:Previous investigation results were all innocent except for pmc, who I investigated on the same night as LSU targeted him.

Unfortunately, I am inbetween classes and can't say more.
Re: Chuck Mafia, Day Six
Don't reallly see how I'm under as much suspicion as sam either- it's quite clearly not LyLo so this would be a pretty stupid fake claim.

Re: Chuck Mafia, Day Six
No no no. I was just about to ask the same thing as having cleared townies would be a great help in our current situation. And also it would help with determining if your claim is real or not.icedagger wrote:I'm not going to tell you who I got innocent results on. Fishing for them is more than a little scummy.
It would also be interesting to know who talapus has targeted the last 2 nights.
Re: Chuck Mafia, Day Six
It would do nothing to help determine if my claim is real or not- if I was mafia I'd also know who town are. Revealing confirmed townies before they're at L-1 does little to help town, and a lot to assist mafia with their night kills.

Re: Chuck Mafia, Day Six
BS. Scum already know who's not scum so they get very little help (and they already know enough of our power roles to have a juicy target list). We on the other hand does not know so any info is helpful in smoking out the last one or two non townies in this game.icedagger wrote:Revealing confirmed townies before they're at L-1 does little to help town, and a lot to assist mafia with their night kills.
Re: Chuck Mafia, Day Six
The point isn't that they know they're town. It's that they know we know they're town, and are therefore good targets as "outed" confirmed townies who won't be lynched. Whereas if the cop keeps it to himself, the townies can still be prevented from being lynched by the cop stating if he has an innocent result on them at L-1, so they won't be lynched anyway.
Maybe if at some point we run out of suspects revealing the innocent townies might be an effective tactic to get mafia through a process of elimination. But that's not neccessary at the moment, since I have a fulcrum result on sam.

Vote Ice There is NO reason in the world to hold it in at this time. There is no guaranttee that you won't get bumped off before telling us and with the way you're hinting back and forth even if we lynch YOU and it confirms that you're a cop we have most likely our last scum outed by you.

Re: Chuck Mafia, Day Six
I pretty much agree with this. There are already confirmed townies that have claimed(me being one of them) that are perfectly acceptable targets. Fulcrum is on the losing end unless there is cult in this game and town has it in the bag. Speak up dude and reveal your results.....then we can pressure the last few we aren't sure about.LSU Tiger Josh wrote:Vote Ice There is NO reason in the world to hold it in at this time. As ever, religious disagreements rear their head. Icedagger, complying reassures the majority - town - that you aren't a mafiosi trying to lead us by the nose. Surely you have been in the opposite seat many times. Really, it is just a chance (hope) that you will foul the claim and seal the day. Even if you were to compromise and tell us which night you investigated pmchugh, it wouldn't prove anything unless you gave the wrong answer. Its the nature of the game online.
But, as I had to conclude with Talapus and Fircoal, you are probably telling the truth. Even if two cultists (hypothetically including you) remain, by the time we lynch a false cop, we would still have another lynch or two leeway. Unless there are three cultists yet living, the disincentive would keep a mafiosi's mouth shut.
So, what about sam_levi? A quick reread shows he duly responded to not receiving a pm each night but hasn't said more than three words otherwise since page 13: 1) I am suspicious of Falkomango and LSU; 2) vote pmchugh; and 3) confirmed that Fircoal saw him visit LSU night three. Obviously, he lies low but the last gave me pause. Mislynching a tracker is good, but having him turn up tracker would expose the lie. With nothing to commend him, I can't keep my finger off the trigger.
