Cardinals are good but I thin kSaints are good enough to keep it together and win and I don't think the Ravens will be able to win like they did last week with Flacco only having to complete 4 passes. The Colts offense is a lot healthier than New England's was and won't put their defense in bad positions like hwat happened last week, losng story short Colts will turn over the ball less and score more than the Patriots did and will force the Ravens to prove they can pass the ball.
tomorrow's games, I can see Cowboys-Vikings going either way however I think a close game will favor the Vikings as Brett Favre is much more experience dealing with late game pressure than Romo. Jets are 1 and done. They can't beat the Chargers...

Re: NFL
Damn, Arizona got crushed. I think that every team that I root for, just gets demolished (Broncos, then Texans, then Cardinals...). And the Saints are next on my list!

2-3 now :/
New Orleans looked so good, I don't even think that a healthy Cardinals team could have done much better.
And I forgot how terrible Peyton Manning is in the post season. Well, I didn't really forget, but they looked so good in the regular season that it's hard to not pick them.

Re: NFL
3-3
Peyton Manning no longer has a losing record in the post season 8-8 with this win. But if they play the Chargers they're in trouble. Chargers have knocked them out of the post season several times over the past few seasons.
This has been the worst post season in recent years. Lots of great teams but only 1 good game out of 6 so far. Hopefully the last 5 can make up for it.

Re: NFL Divisional Playoffs
New Orleans looked like they could have beaten all comers yesterday in a very impressive win. Baltimore started the game with an impressive drive before turning the game over to Indianapolis.
Dallas got off to a good start, now Minnesota's defensive line is really getting it done and have already forced three Romo fumbles. If the Cowboys can't get a handle on them they are in big trouble already trailing by two touchdowns to start the second half. Farve is also managing the game well and has made some big plays including two touchdown tosses to Rice.
Vikings 34 Cowboys 3 Final
Game ball to the Vikings Defensive Front Four who played lights out from the 2nd Quarter on,
sacking Romo six times and knocking him on his butt half of his drops in the pocket.
Cinderella survives to play another day as the Jets upset the Chargers 17-14. Their strategy
of lulling San Diego asleep with three and outs early in the game paid off as the defense gave
them a short field when it was close and the running game shocked em with a long touchdown
run late in the game to provide the winning margin.

Re: NFL
So with the Jets going up against Indy next week, it is entirely possible that sitting their starters for the post season is going to bite the Colts in the ass. It helped get the Jets into the playoffs, and it would be poetic that they end up missing the Super Bowl because they didn't want to sack up and play a 16 game season like everyone else. I'd be OK with a Saints-Jets Super Bowl. Both teams have had one coming for a while now.

Don't talk about the fucking Superbowl. We're not even there yet. The Jets haven't done this since... since before I was cognizant of professional football, anyway.
f*ck all y'all haters. Talkin' shit all week. BAM.
Jets look great right now. Such a beautiful defense. As they continue to dismantle these storied indefatigable offenses, I'm waiting for someone to come on here complaining about how the Jets got lucky because by some chance happening, Rivers sucked today.

Re: NFL - The Final Four
I do appreciate the Jets' Defense, as they have been consistently strong all season long,
but the Chargers did them a few favors early in the game by stalling their own drives
and missing a pair of field goals that were well within in their kicker's range.
Remember the snap over River's head?
Mark Sanchez was good and made a few big plays when they really needed them.
Conference Championships
New York Jets (11-7) @ Indianapolis Colts (15-2)
and
Minnesota Vikings (13-4) @ New Orleans Saints (14-3)

Let's go Saints!
And I especially hope the Jets lose. I'm the only non-Jets fan in my family, and am still getting attacked after the Yankees won...please Colts! End my misery!

In the more likely scenario however, THE EVIL GENIOUS IS PROVEN CORRECT AS THE PLAN TO MEET THE JETS IN THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME COMES TO FRUITION!Frigidus wrote:So with the Jets going up against Indy next week, it is entirely possible that sitting their starters for the post season is going to bite the Colts in the ass. the Jets may have just done them a favor.

Minnesota if they stick to the ground game and blitz Brees like they did against Romo should win the NFC and advance to the Super Bowl.
And the surprise team Jets I think wont be able to keep enough points on the board against the Colts to win with Indy advancing to the Super Bowl. But the Jets have surprised me this far by making it this long, but I do agree I think the scenario of the Jets vs Indy couldn't have worked out better for the Colts as a San Diego Indianapolis pairing would have made for interesting football.

I was a bit skeptical the Jets could make a serious run this year with a rookie at QB, but I wasn't buying all the bullshit about the Chargers. Not this year. After seeing you guys dismantle the Bungles you were easy favorites in my book.I dunno, it seems every year people pick San Diego and Minnesota for the Super Bowl. My guess is that they're both one and done. Again.
Minnesota shocked me a bit though. I mean, yeah, we are talking about Tony Romo, but damn. That touchdown in the last 2 minutes was about as classy as I'd expect though.

Re: NFL
I was hoping for a tighter game between the Cowboys & Vikings and after Dallas
gained 130 yards in the 1st Quarter thought it would be, but the Minnesota
defense stepped up and shut them down for the rest of the game.
It's been said many times that defense wins championships and both Sunday
games featured plenty of it.

Good thing New Orleans and Minnesota returned to their mid-season form for the post season.
That will be a great game.
Jets with their #1 defense and #1 rushing game have a shot against the Colts but Indy is still the fav obviously. I think that any possible Superbowl between the remaining teams will be an exciting one. My only wish is that Indy loses, preferably this week.
Re: NFL
I would love to see it, seeing as Indy helped them get in by not playing them in the regular season, and I would love the matchup of the Jets vs the Vikes in the Super Bowl.. (Whole Brett Favre saga)Kid_A wrote: Jets with their #1 defense and #1 rushing game have a shot against the Colts but Indy is still the fav obviously. and as much as the Jets have impressed me this post season I still have to side against them as I think Indy takes it.. I still think as long as Jared Allen and the DL get pressure on Brees and the vikings have a heavy dose of AP & Taylor they will be a sure fire win.

Re: NFL
I wouldn't say that the NFC game could be called a sure fire win for anyone, but the Vikings D was so unbelievable against Dallas that no team stands a chance against them when they play like that!king sam wrote:I would love to see it, seeing as Indy helped them get in by not playing them in the regular season, and I would love the matchup of the Jets vs the Vikes in the Super Bowl.. Re: NFL
That first half was a thing of beauty. A pure wonderful experience.
Oh well.
The Jets have lots to build on, and I can't help but think that this is only the beginning a new perennial contender. At least those Colts got a run for their money.
Also, I'm totally going to be rooting for either the Saints or the Vikings in the Superbowl now.
