DiM, thanks. but I am using this time to give to other projects also.DiM wrote:i don't think you should run the poll for 14 days. it's clear v27 is better.
Please be patient.
This map will map not go To Final Forge before others do, especially the way the forum responds so vigorously to it.
So I am happy to use the time to get Valley of the Kings up first, then we might be ready to move this into Final Forge.
As I have explained to you before the Forum has "Andy's time".

By the way...I think it is true...the Foundry does run on Andy Time.**Eats a banana**

I meant no offense, but it is quite true this is Andy's timeline. I though others would have understood that a long time ago.

Just a quick insignificant post, but I think the top left isn't such a great place your signature, it seems rather cramped.
Consider maybe placing it inconspicuously over the Japanese flag, or perhaps in the small empty space near the +3 & +4 Aircraft in the legend, or maybe even below the Pearl Harbor title.
Really there isn't an ideal spot, as there are just so many things on the map!
So perhaps the top left isn't so bad afterall.

Thanks for attentioning that Andy...I'll see what I can do to find another spot for the signature.AndyDufresne wrote:Just a quick insignificant post, but I think the top left isn't such a great place your signature, it seems rather cramped.

Andy I am also thinking with your OK....would it be feasible to increase the width of this map another 20 or 30 pixels to move the legened over to the left more away from the active play....that would give all the icons more EYE room, and make more room for signature etc.AndyDufresne wrote:Hm, another thought, if you move V3 to the east a little ways, there may be ample room above the bonus area. But that may just be too much work and there may be better spots out there where you don't have to change things around!

This small map is only 630 wide now. Just a thought?!

20-30 px isn't much and i say do it. there are other maps that are larger and nobody is complaining.
also i think your sig would lok great under pearl harbour.

I must say, the map is shaping up nicely Cairns. You started with a good looking map to start with but it has grown and developed into something even better. In response to the width issue, I think the map could be extended another 20 pixels on the small version if you really need it. I wouldn't stray beyond the 650 mark though.
I agree with Andy on the V3 territory, although I think moving it up would perhaps be more appropriate. The attack lines from V1 to Ramsay don't look right, is this intentional in any way? Same issue to a lesser extend with V4 and Z2. Also, some of your lines between ships seem to cover part of the ships, Hull/Henly as an example.

V30 Update.
V30 Small Update.....Moving On
Thanks to everyone who partipcated in the poll.
There is clear indication that the majority of participants voting prefer to have the icons on the map.
To allow for a little extra "eye" space, the map has been widened by 20 pixels and the bonus area moved to the left.
This also allowed for movement of those Vals in that area, and a solution to the signature issue.
