Of course, it's not that simple, because I make (and curve) the text and position is in two different programs, so I'd have to work with flip angles, but still very much a doable procedure. Just a pain in the neck compared to changing the font directly.mibi wrote:You have to raster the text first, then edit it manually. If you can raster the text, the just manually edit it after you save as a jpg, and re-save. Couldn't be easier.

Alternatively you could name it "Um Bongo" cos they drink that in the congo... and that's been around for so long the copyright must be too old?!pancakemix wrote:Actually I think the game is Donkey Konga, but you don't have to.Evil DIMwit wrote:I think that's a bit of a copyright violation... best stay on the safe side and leave it.pancakemix wrote:Conga is a better name but I think we can make a better name. To the people wanting the map to misspell bonuses and to reverse the S's: this stuff is not necessary. The "kid" motif is already pretty well set. I think that backwards S's and misspelled words will just be excessive and pointless.
Also: it says that Wit is "7". When you're seven, you don't write your S's backwards. You basically know how to write things pretty well by then
I love the map, and I love the little drawings (especially the plane). Well done on the map

Glad you said it and not me, but I completely agree.d.gishman wrote:To the people wanting the map to misspell bonuses and to reverse the S's: this stuff is not necessary. the bonysis I don´t understand completely
afriq - equal amount of boys & grrls - ok
aisha - ok
amerigo - 66.6% girls - ok
(I have heard about the momron scandal and how girls got tricked and only got half a man when it was time to marry so it makes sense.)
yurijopia bonizh - !!!?? this is werong!
two boy one gal manage a troy
When you was vacated to uropaland you must have only noticed the perdy grils. Evreupa are mostly old angry women with scarves who scream in uncountable evropänischen langwitches - and some only sound like mexican if you play it backwards at half speed.
In short: I want an old woman depicted in the bonus for Europe. She must be angry and have a cane and a scarf.
I wonder why they put stars on european flag? We have no stars - we have grumpy old women - the very essence of the european mentality.

Actually..I could see a problem with the fact this map has only 18 teritories.
Correct me if I am wrong ( and stop reading ), but players cannot get 2 cards with the same territory, right?
If that so, there is 18 territories here. In a 3 player game, alright no problem.
In a 4 player game, if every player wait until they have 5 cards to cash in, that would make a total of 20 cards. Therefor, not enough territories on the map.
In a 5 player games, even getting 4 cards would be a problem.
In a 6 player game, you slap them for playing a small map.
Wouldn't that create a problem?

Doesn't seem like how it works, since colors are TOTALLY random.
And wouldn't solve the problem anyway, you could get a mixed set of 3 chinas and have a +6 bonus if you own it. Quite unfair.
Obviously..no card games is the best for this map..but..

That question actually came up earlier in the topic; it's been established that the way Conquer Club is programmed in fact allows for duplicate cards just fine.freezie wrote:Actually..I could see a problem with the fact this map has only 18 teritories.

This is indeed quite true, and while our hypothetical child is incredibly ignorant geographically, I don't see a problem with him being a decent speller.d.gishman wrote:Also: it says that Wit is "7". It's got two whole scoops of Draft 14!

Issues addressed:
- ) Decided not to misspell anything too badly
- ) Moved the map down so it's more centered and there's more room for the title
- ) Moved Asia, Africa, and Europe slightly closer together
- ) Darkened some of the lowercase as
- ) Changed the Sun and Compass around a little bit
Issues not addressed:
- ) Final territory count, maybe
- ) Any other brilliant ideas
Issues maybe addressed:
- ) Added a penguin doodle up north, but then I noticed they looked like something and so:

Issues not addressed:
- ) Make the penguins look better
I personally like "Doodle Earth" more than "World 0.5" -- the latter is a nice joke but I think this one is better as it is (a) independent of World 2.1 and (b) punny.
