It was always called the Longest Thread Thread. Not because it is the longest but because that is it's goal. If it was only called that because it was the longest I would have been gone a long time ago.

Actually, back in the day I was too busy to make any posts of substance, so every once in a while I would just pop in and use my catch phrase. strike wolf noticed my laziness and did not conceal the fact that it bothered him. I noticed that it bothered him and commenced to increase the frequency of my catch phrase by a factor of 10.

It sort of caught on and now lots of people post it when mere normal posts are not enough.
