What are the general guidelines/rules for account sitting?

I'm curious as to why someone would have to set themselves at a distinct disadvantage purely because they are account sitting. I mean, it is a legit strategy to have a drop on b, b attack, reinforce a, a attack. Abusing freestyle is how people win at freestyle. Everyone does it, so if you're not doing it you probably should just be playing sequential.

Especially if its like Catarah said and they coordinate their turn over MSN already.

If it is as Evil Semp says though you may want to get another friend of yours who may not even play CC to sit the account and coordinate with them over MSN the way you do now. Then you could just give orders to the other friend as to what to do. Just a suggestion so you don't lose your edge.
