Will this, when finished make use of the [to] tags?

Could be a Mac thing. I'll try to look into it, but I don't know anyone with a Mac :/Optimus Prime wrote: I did enable macros when the box popped up, and I'm running Office Mac 2004 edition of Excel. Perhaps it just doesn't work with my software.

Not sure what you mean by this. Can you extrapolate?max is gr8 wrote:Will this, when finished make use of the [to] tags?

<Snippity> (I apologise, I did not realise that it was not public domain yet, sending you a PM regarding it, and anyway I had to learn about it the hard way)

This sounds pretty damn cool pi...
I guess this sort of thing could also be done in a GM Script - and outputted in CSV mode...

I don't think its secret. I use [to] exclusively (although I do put in instructions for its use) but maybe I'm betatesting. Anyone in one of my tournaments can reverse engineer it (as several have) or they could ask me about it and I'd be happy to tell them.

I was told by NS that it hasn't gone public, and I learnt it from a TO not sure which one now but one of them

How could it "Not have gone public"? It works, people can use it, right now. The only reason they don't is because they don't know about it. CC is not Apple: there's no reason to withhold information like this for a later date.max is gr8 wrote:I was told by NS that it hasn't gone public, and I learnt it from a TO not sure which one now but one of them

Alright, I'm going to work on this in the coming week. CC has been on the backburner for a bit due to personal things going on, but it's high time I made a version of this completely working and get it online. Watch this space

Re: e_i_pi's Tournament Toolkit
Apologies guys, this is going to have to be put on hold. It seems Bill Gates, in all his wisdom, wants to make it as difficult as humanly possible to integrate Excel with any browser other than IE, and even when it transfers data to and from IE, it has stupid amounts of errors.
I fear this may have to be some sort of plugin, which means javascript, a language I don't know. Maybe I'll learn it in the coming months, but don't count on it, I have way too much on my hands as it is.

A random map selector would be nice, since my tournaments can use ANY maps - random one selected for each match.e_i_pi wrote: Please reply to this thread with the features you would like added. You don't have to know about programming, just tell me what things are painful and time-consuming, and I will work them into the interface, so you don't have to pull your hair out, or keep messy files or papers with makeshift records here there and everywhere
CURRENT FUNCTIONALITY
League fixture calculatorAuto-Game Creator
- Equal distribution of home and away matches
- Matches follow home-away-home-away pattern as much as mathematically possible for every team
- Accepts up to 40 teams (this can extended easily enough)
- Presents in a simple text copy-paste format that can be dumped straight into a forum post
- Takes just seconds to calculate all games for a league
TO DO LIST
- Selection of all current maps and game types, for up to 65000 separate games
- Interfaces directly with CCs Start A Game page
- Takes only 1-2 seconds per game to create a game. Create 100 games in 2 minutes with one click of a mouse
- Can process lists automatically generated by League Fixture Calculator
PM me if you want a copy of what I have so far.
- Simple league table organiser with win/draw/loss entry
- Tiered league table organiser with promotion/relegation
- Parallel league table organiser with play-offs
- Single elimination knockout
- Double elimination knockout
- List of all CC maps with stats on how long particular game configurations typically last for
- Record all game details, with url links to games
- Record which players have been PM'd, which have replied, etc.
I do a triple-elimination tournament, so that would be handy. But this would also require custom brackets, as I have my own way of doing this. So that could be a dicey programmability inclusion.
Perhaps a random matcher-upper (randomly picking two players to meet). I've been considering doing something like this, where for each round of the tournament, players are assigned randomly to their matches (one match per player), with the potential of rematches happening in a triple-elimination tournament.
EDIT: Whoa, I just noticed what a bump I did on this thing. Sorry about that...don't know how the thread even got on my RADAR, given that late date.
