1. Find a half-dozen qualified people willing to volunteer as multi-hunters (or even just as apprentices)
2. if a multi is busted and he still has games going, lock that account out of the system so that the multi deadbeats. It's not perfect, but it's a start.
You could dodge this with Terminator.
It's not perfect, but it's a start. If you have a suggestion for how to refine the idea, feel free. Otherwise, kindly refrain from poking holes in eminently reasonable concepts.
The larger point is that I don't see why suggestion 1 isn't implemented immediately. Surely there are enough people on the site with the necessarily technical acumen, level of trust, and free time to be at least part-time multi-hunters. Hell, place should be swarming with them.

I wish there were more multi hunters than multi's. And I like the idea of locking them out to force them to deadbeat....especially if they and their multi are in the game with you.....
Why can't we create better coding or algorithms (or however the hell it all works) so that points could be awarded back to those who fell victim to multis? It's not like somebody would have to pull out a calculator and do it all by hand.
I just lost in a 3 player game against 2 multis (who were busted because of it). Why even bother going through the trouble of reporting these people if they are just going to create new accounts and you're not getting your damn points back anyway? It would be much easier for you to just add them to your enemies list and let others continue to suffer losses to these people...

You'd be suprised
My new Idea (as I try to have one of theese per thread daily) is to subtract 1000 from all multi's scores and then divide the points between the players that had a game against the multi's, at least this would be automated, and not an 'undo' process

oooooo....not bad idea!
woah, the first non spam post you made in here all day

Blake, if we did that, people who were affected 11 days ago would complain that we set some sort of arbitrary deadline (they would not be wrong either) and that they should get their points back as well.
Blitz, it is similar to the situation I just told Blake. People would say that this has been asked for in the past, and we should have done that when they first mentioned it.
I understand that we all hate cheaters and that they ruin a perfectly good system, but there is no perfect way to deal with this. Hopefully the detection systems will get better and people will get caught before they really have any affect on the system.
You may hate cheaters, but you dont hate them enough to ban them. Its a question of money, I imagine. I wonder however, if you guys took in to account, the lost money from those players that do not renew their membership, after learning that cheaters are allowed to play here. Why dont you at least brand them so the rest of us can decide if we want to play them or not ?
lol sorry to shoot that idea down but thats too easily abused. if the multi plays one person and then is caught the person gets 1000 points like that. a couple of friends could easily boost their scores to amazing heights

no, you subtract 1000 from their score, so the people that were affected would share the points that the multi GAINED, not the starting 1000
