Ok some comments.
1) Wales and Mercia have colours that are too similar in my opinion.
2) The castles need labels to make clear which is which.
3) I know you said the bonuses need work, but I think it's going to be very difficult to hold any bonuses at the moment. Assuming people won't leave large armies in the seas, Scotland, Wales, Essex, Ireland and Wessex Would each need to defend every single border to hold the bones. Maybe make some cliffs as sea to land impassables? Or maybe make landfall only possible at certain defined "beaches"?

Yeah i will change that, i realised that as i was working on the legend colours.Ogrecrusher wrote:Ok some comments.

They used to have labels, i forgot to readd them.Ogrecrusher wrote:2) The castles need labels to make clear which is which.
Coleman is right seas can only be attacked and attack via the docks. So that reduces the borders.Ogrecrusher wrote:3) I know you said the bonuses need work, but I think it's going to be very difficult to hold any bonuses at the moment. Nice update. Naps much more accurate now-many things i was going to tackle with you have been solved.
On the map you scourced- scots and irish are ahown as the same (as in a way they were) we could do this three ways
-as it is now (ulster as irish)
-Ulster as scottish (as it was where the scots came from and it was under scot control)
-all ireland and scotland as one continent (interesting but difficult playability)

What about it belonging to both?Balsiefen wrote:-as it is now (ulster as irish)

Only problem with this is that we want the seas to start neutral so that people have to expand before taking to the seas. But if ulster becomes scotish then scotland cant be taken with out the seas. Though there is already a problem with Dornon.
Impassibles are my main concern right now. Where and what?
I currently have a forest between mierce and dere. But that is it.
Easily Done.Coleman wrote:South border of Dere. (extend that forest to the coast)
I was thinking of putting the river ouse through there.Coleman wrote:West border of S.Sngle
Splits up the continentColeman wrote:Border between Seaxe and Sngle
Once again could be the right place for a riverColeman wrote:Border between Dorcic and Gantwane
Same again a river.Coleman wrote:South border of Fib.
I agree about the Es. But without editing the type font it will be hard.Balsiefen wrote:We really need to get those E's sorted outColeman wrote: West border of S.Sngle

And thoe south boarder of dere could be the humber, then one of the rivers it splits into (i've forgotten the names but i'm pretty sure the south one followes that line)
I already have a forest on that border so we might as well leave it
For some reason C look like Gs. I need to work out away of linking castles. Because the area with aberdeen is not called aberdeen, it is called monoth, lundenwic is in seaxe. Tennenhair is in Brega.Coleman wrote:Those castle names don't make sense to me. I can't find Aberdeen on the map for example.
Gardiff (Cardiff?) is the only matching pair I see.
It looks like drawing those castles was a lot of work and it is a shame that your army circles obstruct some of the graphics.
What if you added tiny boxes, one on the bottom left of Tenenhair, one on the bottom right of Cardiff, one on the top left of Lundenwic, and one on the top right of Aberdeen with the little castle graphics from the territories.

Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.

Yea-I'd leave it as it is then.Telvannia wrote:What about it belonging to both?Balsiefen wrote:-as it is now (ulster as irish)

Bonuses definatly need to be recalculated sometime but before that, we need to figure out how high the seas are going to be to start. I would say its between 5 and 3, depending how easy we want to make it. One thing is-the higher the men in the seas, the more bonus someone who takes ireland in the first turn will get.

I know but I'd just like to see a different lay out.Coleman wrote:It either needs to be unique in gameplay or location, not both. Since this features buildings, decay, dead space and no one way attacks it is quite different from British Isles.ParadiceCity9 wrote:not another british isles looking map...
