Apart from a couple of (fairly lengthy) blips, I've generally pootled around at the 1800-2000 range for over a year, until about a month ago, when I tinkered with my strategy a bit, and now I seem to be bouncing around the 1900-2200 range.
I can't cope with life in the fast lane, so I'm handing my account over to DAZMCFC when I go on holiday to France next week. That way, when I get back home, I should find myself way down the rankings amongst the mediocre people again.
I'm JOKING, please don't refuse to babysit my account.

you were 69th with just 2029 points?
i've had my high at 2196 and was 174th

I've been down to the depths of golden-muffin land at one point during an absolutely horrid 800 point downswing that I still find myself trying to explain. My highest ever score was 1399 and I wanted to get to the "old" Sergeant ranking, of course, now that is all sorts of messed up.
I've changed my strategy a bit in the last few weeks and have managed to keep myself somewhere between Corporal and Corporal First Class for the most part. I'd love to break the 1400 point barrier someday though.
Clive actually needs to credit most of his lovely points to me seeing as how badly he decimated me in those 1 vs 1 games a few weeks back.

quickly rose to seargeant but stayed there for a few weeks, then had a really awesome win streal that pushed me up to 2250+, stayed a captain for about 2-3 weeks, then fell to lieutenant for another 2, and then sank to private/corporal for the past 1-2 weeks after a ridiculous losing streak that seems to have no end in sight.

Having updated my post above I'm seriously thinking of changing my name on here to yo-yo instead of rebelman

Started out at private first class, then it began plummeting like a lead mario.rsuttles58 wrote:I was just interested in how your rankings have risen and fallen. Or maybe a lot of you are very stable players that hardly ever change rank.
My rollercoaster started out with me going from a new recruit up to Pvt. FC for a few weeks. I then hit a good streak and was Sgt. FC for part of a day and then back to down Corp. FC. I stayed at Corp. FC for over a month.
I then went out of the country and came back and have had a very unstable ranking. I was Corp. FC when I came back in the country. I hit a very bad stretch and was all the way down to Private. I am now back to a normal Corporal.
I bet a lot of you think this is one of the most asinine threads, but I am just interested in how it's gone for other players. Do you hit big losing streaks or winning streaks?
I'm back after an all too long hiatus.

Had a huge losing streak that last about a month, but there was a whole generation of games I had joined all at once (about a 15-20) and I was set to win basically all of them (mostly 6p games with some substntial ranks mixed in there). I had gone as low as 950 and then many of those came to an end all on basically the same day when all was said and done I had gained somewhere around 600 points in about two days.
Normally though, it's pretty consistent. I'd say I stick in the low 1200s/high 1100s, though I personally believe that my skill is more accurately reflected at a 1600-1700 number, but that's just me.

I worked my way up lieutenant (old), then became a cfc. Was a sergeant for a few days, and fell back down again. I just got premium, so whether more games will have a positive or negative effect on my score has yet to be seen.
Epic Win

Well I reached my highest at about 1400, then I went on a massive losing streak, and now i'm hovering at 950 ever since.

I'm up to corporal again - now up to 35 rank changes since I started here about 7 weeks ago as can be seen on my edited post on p.2.
when am I going to start leveling out or is this typical of us low rankers up and down like yo yos ?

I have found it to be pretty typical. I think it has to do with the point spread between the ranks. Down here in the lower ranks we only have 100 point differences, but once you get higher it is 200 or 500 point differences. So, if you get a couple hundred over your rank's required point limit you have a lot of room to wiggle without losing your rank.rebelman wrote:I'm up to corporal again - now up to 35 rank changes since I started here about 7 weeks ago as can be seen on my edited post on p.2.
