Re: Secret Diplomacy: Rules?
Thank you Dukasar - never went to the Rules before!!
But it raised another issue - I have seen what I think was called there as "serial teammate killing". In a game, is it part of the unwritten rule, then, that one is not supposed to kill a teammate to take his cards? Or is it only part of this unwritten rule if you do it "serially", one by one take out your mates for cards allowing you to take the next mate, etc.?

You are totally allowed to kill your teammate for their cards.bobbythomson wrote:Thank you Dukasar - never went to the Rules before!!

serial teammate killing in the rule if smthg i never noticed. But i guess it concerns killing your teammate to make your team lose.
Re: Secret Diplomacy: Rules?
This is pretty much what it means. There are players who join and just start killing any troops that they can. Some do it on purpose and some not realizing that they joined a team game.Donelladan wrote:You are totally allowed to kill your teammate for their cards.bobbythomson wrote:Thank you Dukasar - never went to the Rules before!!

Re: Secret Diplomacy: Rules?
It is an effective strategy if you would rather keep the cards on your own team instead of the other team.

Huh. I thought this was actually an interesting thread.iAmCaffeine wrote:Anyone with a shred of common sense can interpret the secret diplomacy rules correctly. You got caught out and you're trying to bullshit your way out of it on a forced technicality. Shut the f*ck up and get better at the game.
I don’t remember you being such a penis in the past. Of course, I was mainly drunk when I was here before. So that might explain it.
Pity.
Too bad I’m not still drinking as much.

No, you're right. I don't know what happened, but IaC is definitely angrier and more of a dick than before. You're not the only person who noticed.elfish_lad wrote:Huh. That simply isn't true. It's just the forum is less active, with less regular posters, so my posts are noticed more. I also post less than I used to. However in the past I received many more forum punishments than I've had say the last 1-2yrs.

Mate, the argument that it's not you that changed, it's the entire forum of other people that changed doesn't really pan out. It doesn't make sense.iAmCaffeine wrote:That simply isn't true. Get it together, IaC. Be a bit less angry.

I don't think you comprehended what I was saying. Or you're just acting like you don't, which is more likely.Symmetry wrote:Mate, the argument that it's not you that changed, it's the entire forum of other people that changed doesn't really pan out. Heh. That’s actually what my coworkers say about me. “He’s generally a prick unless he likes you.”
Hmm... my evangelical Christian pastor son often says, “dad has the spiritual gift of being an amazing asshole.”
Double Hmm... holy shirt. Maybe I am a caffeinated beverage?!?
