I remember after having joined the site, officially, that the forum changed names and I (temporarily) thought that the page had been removed, lol.DoomYoshi wrote:

Re: List of Forum Names
It must be changing more frequently over the years because I started at 19 and I haven't been here all that long.
Personally I think "grunting and straining" aught to be next.

Re: List of Forum Names
I realized that this is the one time a year I am relevant on these forums. They should change the name more often.

who makes the name changes, lack/el jefe?

Re: List of Forum Names
In the old days, users would request a change and a poll would be held and then lack would implement it. That system worked for a while. Then it got moved backstage to the Mod area, where all the Team CC volunteers could vote. The same system, just a smaller pool of voters.betiko wrote:I was born in "19 too!Funkyterrance wrote:It must be changing more frequently over the years because I started at 19 and I haven't been here all that long.

I don't recall us having much say in what the forum name would be. Could be wrong, but I don't remember us posters having that much say in things.

For some reason I thought AoG's "Let's have a vote" thread was official and resulted in "Whe the Wild Things Are", but the path was more indirect than that.

Re: List of Forum Names
That was 2006, when the site was considerably smaller in number and things were just kicking off. Since I've been on, we've always had poll threads talking about how much we liked the new name, or threads demanding it go back to its previous name by the loudmouth noob of the month. But never what name we wanted. We got polls with possible names that we may like, but those rarely ever went our way, so they eventually just stopped doing them.DoomYoshi wrote:Here is one example.muy_thaiguy wrote:I don't recall us having much say in what the forum name would be. Re: List of Forum Names
Updated.
note how I dealt with the tie.
Also, there was a major update, as i added a forum name that wasn`t on the Official Mod List. Every day my list gets more accurate and that one gets less. The Singularity is nigh.
